Great location but if you enjoy your HVAC working correctly DON'T stay here. Booked this location for the 2024 Boston Marathon at a significant mark up. Upon arrival to the room, we noticed we were unable to adjust the temperature on the HVAC control resulting in the room fixed at 75-76F, which is far too hot for our preferences. When we communicated this to the front desk, a gentlemen who I believe to be the manager responded that they were "a sustainable hotel" but they would see if engineering could address it. They never did. I'm all about sustainability (aka saving money), but if I'm paying $700/night for a hotel I expect to be able to sleep well in a cool, comfortable room. Great location but I won't be staying here again.

The only thing we were disappointed about was no coffee machine in our room. Otherwise it was a great stay. The hotel has an old charm to it, however the room was lovely and cozy.

Clean room adequate space overall for 2 nights. Also Had a nice common coffee area with seating and a microwave. It was convenient to Star Market (large supermarket), nearby shopping and the Boston Duck Tours Prudential building start point. The heating system in room 220 wasn’t working properly. It was a toasty 79 even when I set it on cool. The front desk was notified and said they would fix it. However the problem remained during our stay.

I had a room with a queen size bed. It was quite small. The bed was comfortable however and the bathroom was a decent size with good strong shower. I was put in a room on the first floor at street level, I asked for another room but was told nothing else was available. There was some street noise but not too bad. I didn't eat at the restaurant Rosebud but had a drink at the bar, it seemed fine. My complaint is with the night club that runs in the basement of the hotel building which I was told by the front desk is only on Friday and Saturday and my stay was on a Friday night. It's not run by the hotel and seems like a poor choice in an older building that has rooms right on the first floor. The night club pounds out loud music until 2:00 AM, very noticeable in the lobby of the hotel and in my room on the first floor though the lady on the front desk tried to persuade me that you couldn't hear the sound in the room. She would be wrong, pounding bass is pounding bass and I was awake until after 2:00 AM. I can't say if the noise carried into the 2nd or 3rd floor but bottom line is if you are looking for a quiet place to stay on a weekend in Boston either stay somewhere quieter or insist before you book the room on a reservation on an upper floor. It's a pity because it is a nice old building, the room was small but OK but the night club noise and the cavalier attitude of the front desk would probably make me decide not to return. That's why I rated this hotel a 3/5.

Positives-the area around the neighborhood is walkable. Clode restaurants and shops. Negatives-we were on the lower floor, on 3rd floor out of 7 floors. I do not recommend staying on this floor or 2nd floor if you are a light sleeper. We were close to the street, and the windows were not that insulated, so we heard noises from the street until 2am/3am on a Saturday night. The room could have been cleaner also. When we arrived in our room, we also saw hair on the bed and in the bathroom.

The heat in my room was broken and got up to 86 degrees and when I went to the front desk (after they put me on hold for a long time), I was told the technician had left at 10:00 pm (it was 10:30 pm). They suggested I open the window but the hotel is in the city so the noise was ridiculous all night (I did open the window the 3 inches it opened and turned off the hvac). The woman at the front desk was rude and not at all helpful. I paid for a hotel in the city for a night to avoid a long drive home after an event, but neither my daughter or I got any sleep. Upon checkout, they offered me a $30 refund. I will be filing a complaint with Expedia. I had high hopes for this hotel, but they failed.

When visiting a city full of history like Boston, why not stay in a historic hotel? Built in 1800s, it was recently updated in a tastefully way that highlights its past while adding clean black and white motif with modern decor. Good value, crisp white sheets, excellent mattress, friendly staff. Coffee room with microwave and tables was nice way to start the day.

Hotel and the location is great. However, the bathroom is my room was incredibly small and tight to the extent you can't sit on the toilet properly because the wall is right in your face. Otherwise, a nice hotel and good location

This hotel is so cute. The rooms aren’t extremely roomy but definitely enough space for two people to comfortably relax after exploring the city. Very clean and updated while also still having a vintage charm. Additionally, this hotel is in an AMAZING location, so close to everything including a train station! So many amazing bars and restaurants to choose from nearby and others are just a short walk or train ride away. I will be staying there again!

Only thing I disliked is we never got our room serviced the 3 nights we were there, while we were gone most of the days. We did put the door card up that said to please do so, but we weren’t so lucky.

The Copley Square is a hidden gem in the Back Bay. Not only is it in the heart of Copley Square, Newbury Street and Back Bay Station, the rooms are a great size for a boutique hotel. Also, check out the new speakeasy in the hotel, called Hue. There is an exercise room and a guest coffee bar for guests.
