Great Hotel!

Posted Feb 8, 2017
Pros: The room was much bigger than I expected.
Completely exceeded my expectations, room was clean and the staff was absolutely amazing! I forgot my toothpaste and called the front desk around 6AM, they sent someone upstairs immediately to give me a complimentary toothpaste. Since I went there for the NE Patriots parade I asked if there was any way to leave my bags at the hotel after checkout, they explained that they could and it was something they offered always not just because of the parade. I think the price for this hotel given the service and the room was definitely a steal!

Wonderful Stay, Great Location

Posted Feb 6, 2017
This was a leisure trip to Boston just for the weekend. We didn't rent a car, and didn't need to as this hotel is within walking distance of many shops, theatres and restaurants. Also the taxi or train is easily accessible for traveling farther. Hotel staff was very professional and grounds were very clean. We ate breakfast everyday in XHale downstairs, which was good. Our one complaint is that the heat malfunctions, and sometimes blows very cold air, which made it uncomfortable to sleep at times during this winter month. Otherwise no complaints!

Intimate boutique hotel, incredible location

Posted Feb 4, 2017
Got this hotel mixed up with the Fairmont one block away, but was relieved that this was a 7-floor boutique hotel with friendly, nonassuming staff. The location is one block from Copley Square, two blocks from Newbury St and Prudential Center - you absolutely can't beat it. The first night was terrible because I ended up sleeping less than 2 hours even though I laid in bed for 8 hours. There seemed to be a boiler or maintenance room just outside of mine and there was the loudest thud every hour like clockwork. This noise was so loud you'd jump up every time. Then my phone was not working so I had to go in person to request a room switch. My complaint was addressed promptly and was given a free room upgrade which was greatly appreciated. I'd come back next time I'm in Boston.

Nice for a simple stay, not much more.

Posted Feb 1, 2017
Pros: Design, location, quick check-in/out. Cheaper overnight valet than some other hotels right around the block.
Cons: More outlets in the bedrooms, especially near beds. A place to hang your hand towel near the bathroom sink. More toiletries. Water and fruit in lobby.
Location: Location is a little creepy at night, but it's the city, what do you expect. It was close to transportation, shops, restaurants - great location.
From the description of the hotel it seems as if you'll be having a lavish, hip, engaging experience during your stay, but in reality it wasn't quite like that. The hotel's interior design is very nice but the layout, being that it's a former historic hotel, isn't conducive to mingling with other guests for things like wine down. Unlike many hotels I've stayed at, there were no bowls of fruit or containers of ice water for guests in the lobby area, which would've been appreciated on many occasions! The elevators were mysteriously slow for it being a quiet weekday. I did enjoy how quiet the hotel was during the week. The deluxe king room was spacious with a spacious bathroom, and well-decorated. However, the amenities just weren't there. Little details were missed like there's no place to hang a hand towel near the sink, no shower caps, an old soggy box of unused soap in the shower, no mouthwash, etc. The biggest downside for me was that there were no available outlets near the bed! This is supposed to be an upper-scale room choice too, which makes me worry about the other rooms. But there were no outlets to charge my laptop and phone while in bed. This was especially inconvenient for my medical devices. I had to unplug the phone and reach behind the headboard to get a plug free. The only plug was in a lamp on the desk or the bathroom sink. Not a really smart design. It's as simple as buying lamps or bedside tables with outlets in them, like every other hotel!

Dear Guest, Greetings from Boston! It was a pleasure to welcome you to the Back Bay and we thank you for sharing your review. While we are thrilled that you enjoyed our innovative design and vibrant location, though we regret if our lobby touches, such as the morning coffee and Power Hour, afternoon hot coco, evening Wine Hour and our weekly Trivia Night were not quite your style and we appreciate your added comments regarding the details of your room. Once more, it was a pleasure to host you and we hope that you might join us again should your travels bring you back to our area. Intuitively Yours, Copley Square Hotel

Well situated hotel for the area

Posted Jan 30, 2017
Definitely need coffee machines in each room-they used to be there and obviously have been taken out- if one has to get up before 630 you have to run next-door to the all-night grocery store
