Such a lovely hotel!

This place is top notch. Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. The rooms are clean and elegant. The lobby is gorgeous! Coffee in the morning and wine at night are sweet touches that make one feel at home. I really love the Kimpton chain and this hotel is a welcome addition. Bravo!

Location: Excellent location in Cambridge and very good parking.

College Tours

This was a great, home base hotel while we ventured out on college tours everyday. Very large, comfortable room and bed...very friendly staff. Delicious oatmeal that we ended up ordering every day in the restaurant. We will definitely come back, especially if our daughter attends college out here. Large shopping mall next door with PF Chang's, Cheesecake Factory, Starbucks, TJ Maxx, other department stores and tons of mall chain stores, etc. Also, we ate at Dante across the street one evening and that was excellent.

Disappointing

I arrived around 9 pm. I asked for restaurant recommendations in the area. The staff didn't know of any place close, except for the noisy, crowded hotel restaurant and overpriced minibar. I wandered outside and found a few nearby restaurants, and wondered why the concierge was unaware of them. I stayed in 2 other hotels that week, and both offered tea and coffee, water, light snacks, etc.

I am so sorry that we let you down. I will address with the team here. We have tea/coffee in the AM, water all day in the lobby and light snacks during our wine reception each night. Tasokas hotelli, kuten varausta tehdessämme saimme todeta. Ainoa iso, negatiivinen asia oli koirien valtava määrä hotellissa. Euroopassa taitaa olla niin, että satsataan ihmisasiakkaiden tyytyväisyyteen. Koirat varastivat suuren roolin. Parina iltapäivänä peräkkäin saimme kuunnella viereisen huoneen asukkaiden koiran jatkuvaa haukkumista. Seuraavana iltapäivänä lankoni kävi reklamoimassa asiasta vastaanotossa ja minä vielä neljä tuntia hänen jälkeensä. Vasta minun palautteeni jälkeen haukkuminen loppui. Voisin muutoin kuvitella vielä palaavani Marlowen asiakkaaksi, mutta nyt on sanottava kiitos, ei. Seuraavalla kerralla vähintään neljän tähden hotelli, jossa ei koirille ole sisään pääsyä.

Exceeded expectations!

My kids and I recently stayed at Hotel Marlowe to attend a Celtics game. I am quite familiar with Boston, as I grew up not far from there, and have always visited the city regularly, however this was my first time at this particular hotel, and I have to say, I think this will be our go-to from now on! From pulling up to a super friendly and helpful valet (I sure wish I could remember his name, because he was above and beyond in every way) to a friendly greeting by the front desk staff, we were off to a great start. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the lobby is gorgeous, and is truly just a unique property. But for me, what sticks out is the staff. We had a plumbing issue late at night, and the front desk staff who came up to the room was very apologetic, friendly and kind. She took care of the problem and offered us free breakfast, which I told her was unnecessary. The next morning, my son and I had breakfast in the restaurant and I paid, as I was not given a voucher and didn't want to seem rude by asking about it. To me, free breakfast was ny necessary, but I appreciated the gesture. When we checked out, a different Clerk asked us how breakfast was, and I told her that it was wonderful and she made mention of seeing in the notes that it was to be comped. I told her I paid for it, and she immediately took it off my bill, stating that it was noted in the system that breakfast was on the hotel. Amazing customer service from beginning to end! Right next to the mall, if you're into that sort of thing; a longish but pleasant walk, or an easy bus ride, over to the Harvard campus. Clean comfortable room, very friendly and helpful staff.

Beautiful but couldn't get temp right!!

Had to move rooms at 3am because thermostat broke. Staff was unbelievably accommodating and nice, but still...? Even new room... If I chgd the temp up one degree it went up 3, and if I put it down two degrees, it went down six. Other than my bad luck with that, it was gorgeous, clean and food was exceptional!!! People were exceptional as well!

Wonderful hotel

This hotel is excellent and I will definitely be going back again. The location is great for everything you want to do in Boston, it is a mere stone's throw from the Museum of Science and MIT. Going into downtown Boston only cost about $10 with an Uber taxi which meant an evening out is very affordable. On site parking is $25 overnight which is a bit steep but for the convenience balances out to be actually quite reasonable. The only negative is that the WiFi isn't free which isn't the end of the world but I was surprised that a hotel in the IHG group doesn't provide this as standard.

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry that you felt parking was a bit steep, it's much lower than downtown pricing of close to $50/night. Wifi is free for our loyalty program members as well.
