This photo was taken at around 1:00 AM during a winter storm on Valentine's Day without flash. This is one of many iron statues representing revolutionary figures at Ft. Washington Fort in Cambridge, MA Beautiful Sky at Spy Pond Lake The best savory baked goods, good soup, strong coffee. The feta tomato squares are unique and delicious. Local artists featured on the walls. I was out running once and heard a pretty powerful rushing water sound off in the woods, so I investigated. These falls are 20+ feet high! The flow wholly depends on rainfall and snowmelt, and in the winter they completely freeze over (as you can see). A very awesome and unexpected find tucked away in a less-traveled section of the Fells. Bellevue Pond at Fells Reservation. Starting point of an awesome 1-4 hs hike any day of the year. Skyline trail is my favorite. Fountain by artist Laura Baring at Maher Field, an offshoot of the Fresh Pond Reservation path system. Look for it next time you go around the lake. Amazing beetles at the Harvard Museum of Natural History.
A fantastic museum with great collections and displays.

Hands down, Crater Lake National Park in Oregon is my favorite so far. Just unreal! #harvard #boston #autumn #usa Fellsmere Park is a beautiful little gem in Malden, MA (approximately six miles north of Boston) that was designed by the famous landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. There are walking paths around the pond, which doubles as a skating rink in winter! This small park in Malden offers gorgeous views of the Boston skyline. As of 2014, sections of the park and access roads were under construction, but people on foot seemed to pay no attention and still wandered at will throughout the park. Park access is off of Leonard Street, and it's only a half mile from Oak Grove T station at the end of the Orange line! This is my absolutely favorite park in all of Boston. There are MILES of running/walking/hiking paths. The reservoirs are gorgeous, even though you can't swim in them. It's also a great place for mountain biking and horseback riding is allowed too, although in four years I never saw a horse in the Fells. And snow shoeing/cross-country skiing in winter! I run here all the time with my pup (off-leash). There are access points about 1/2 mile from Oak Grove T station, but its easiest to drive. #boston has the most beautiful and peaceful #botanicgardens. Perfect for chilling. You may recognise it from the movie Ted #america Harvard campus!
#StunningStructures Delicious sushi in the assembly row shopping center in Somerville. #architecture Duck tater tots! Mixed among the colorful deciduous trees that make up much of the forest in Middlesex Fells, you will find groves of pines that leave carpets of needles for soft, squishy walking. Très chic. Night, day, rain, shine, this place soothes the soul. Gorgeous winter evening view over Boston #fells #localhikes This is Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's home in Cambridge, MA. Taken in May 2011. Buddy’s Diner, one of my favorite local spots to eat. Come early on a weekend morning, this tiny diner car fills up fast and only stays open through lunch! A really great old school friendly, local vibe! It’s been 2 weeks... i miss my doggie... hope you are doing well up there. Love you and miss you! Very strange weather in the Fells! I absolutely love this place. I will continue posting photos until everyone else loves it too. :) The Sheepfold is a huge open field that is a designated off-leash dog area. No fences here! There are two parking areas near the Sheepfold which also provide access to the rest of the Fells, and it's a good launch point for runs or mountain bike rides. Or just come to watch the packs of dogs interact! The Fells is absolutely full of beautiful walks. This one is on the far eastern edge of the Fells around the two reservoirs on an easy gravel access road. Pow pow and more pow at the Sheepfold. Great snowshoeing, fun for the pups!
