great location and, since I was traveling for work alone, I was happy to be able to have a small single room at an affordable price which came with a good breakfast.

Walk to Harvard

Posted Feb 6, 2016
Pros: Location, free parking
Cons: Better parking layout.
A old B&B, walking distance to Harvard. Rooms are basic and small. Breakfast is ordinary. Has free parking but it is very tight. Staff are pleasant and helpful. All in all, a good choice for the price.

Free car parking a plus. Room was on 4th floor, clean but very warm.

ハーバード大学に近い民宿風ホテル

Posted Jan 3, 2016

Another great stay at the Irving House!

Posted Dec 27, 2015
My kids and I wanted to spend Christmas day in Boston and we chose to stay at the Irving House again. It was JUST as nice as when we stayed in the summer. Our bed was super comfortable, the room was clean and the sheets smelled freshly laundered. The breakfast the next morning had a delightful assortment including baked goods, eggs and organic milk for the coffee and the cereal. It's reasonably priced and always a pleasure!

Cozy and very well located

Posted Nov 30, 2015
Pros: Location, breakfast, facilities
Cons: Since the B&B is located in an old house, it's important to check the rooms frequently to ensure everything is working as expected.
Location: Lots of shopping and dining options in Harvard Square as well as easy access to the T and other public transportation.
This B&B is perfect if you are not interested in a fancy hotel room but a comfortable, cozy place with a friendly home-like atmosphere. It is located within walking distance to Harvard Square and the T. The staff are wonderful. The breakfast is delicious. I highly recommend it.

Pros: Staff, price.
Location: A short, pleasant walk to Harvard Square and the T Station.
Free off-street parking and a friendly, helpful staff were the highlights. Room was simple but clean and comfortable. Free hot breakfast. Nothing extravagant, but like the hotel itself, it more than did the job.

Charming & Comfortable

Posted Nov 17, 2015
This place has the charm and updates that give a modern touch. This is not for those who will compare it to a large hotel chain property. The breakfast is outstanding with fresh home-baked goodies, gourmet coffees, teas, fresh juices, cereals, fruits, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, and so on. I loved it! Great bed, extra pillows and blankets and bathrobe! And a short walk to Harvard Square and the T line. Go for it!
