"Trouble in paradise"
I stayed overnight on my way back from England to my home in Vermont specifically to get a good night's sleep and to counter jet-lag. Very tired, I tumbled into my comfy bed. Everything was perfect until I was awakened at 4am by a beeping alarm (which, needless to say, I had NOT set). I did not know how to turn off this bleeping bedside black box, so had to get up and put it outside the door. I was also afraid it would sound again during the remaining hours of the night. Fortunately I did manage to get back to fitful sleep for a while. Would it be possible to instruct the room maids to check that all alarms are returned to "off"? Alternatively, perhaps there could be a note to guests reminding them to turn off the alarm setting before they vacate the room.
