nice hotel but no bar

Pros: Liked everyone else a lot. Except what we wrote about.
Cons: what I wrote about up under experience.
Location: it's nice and suited our needs.
HI The Loews in Boston is nice enough that we have stayed twice.. But the second time was not as nice. You have no stocked bar and that is really missed and inconvenient. The coffee machine is hard to use, hard to reach, on a shelf - a BOTTOM shelf- in a cupboard. You have to STRUGGLE physically to use it and I don't think an older person even could. In addition in my room, the phone by the bed is place on a table by a wall which is very closed to the bed. There is only room enough for a larger person to just maybe slide sideways to get the phone but probably a bigger person would have to leap across the bed itself to answer the phone. Just put it on the OTHER side here people can get to it or move the bed away from the wall. One got the feeling that whoever is in charge is a mechanical thinker who plans things out with out taking into consideration how people live and feel comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was fabulously good and our older waiter very find, but the breakfast on Sunday was not good at all and my male friend though his steak smelled funny, the hollandaise from a jar was dried out, etc. Room 916

Convenient location with close off hotel patking

Overall great stay. Ordered room service and food was subpar. Burnt beignets. Got good rate for this location.

Cons: On multiple occasions, the staff was condescending and less than helpful - I would expect more from a purported 4 star hotel.
The Deluxe room was very small - much smaller than advertised on Expedia or on the hotel's website. I found the hotel's advertising to be misleading.

Excellent hôtel au centre de Boston

Pros: La localisation, Le WIFI, Le restaurant
Cons: Système de ventilation un peu bruyant
Hôtel bien situé proche de Copley et proche des commerces. Personnel accueillant et services proposées conforme au attentes. Le plus pour toute personne en vacances: le WIFI. Le moins: le bruit des ventilations. A recommander!

Already Planning a Return trip

Pros: Not much to report to not like, everything was beyond what we anticipated. Very excited to hear that Loews is pet friendly for next time.
Location: Great location to see friends in Jamaica Plain and the South End, great shopping on Newbury, and Grill 23 across the street was fantastic.
Fantastic location, and extremely accommodating staff. Room was beautiful, spacious and spotless.

We booked through Expedia when we checked in we were given a handicapped room. I was not a fan and I think they could've put us in a better room since we weren't handicapped. Called the first night for a Diet Coke and said room service was closed I'm sorry but this is just not acceptable. I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't tell my friends to stay here. On nye asked the concierge where to go for drinks they sent us somewhere that had a private party and we felt silly. Honestly not the greatest experience at all. I would like to add the hotel smelled like someone dropped a huge bottle of men's cologne all over the lobby. I would stay somewhere else in the future.

Thank you for your feedback, albeit difficult to read. I'm sorry that we placed you in a room that was not to your liking. Room Service is open from 6am until 11pm daily. However, we should have immediately brought you a Diet Coke. We completely dropped the ball. Thank you for your feedback and we sincerely apologize for your experience. Nice hotel close to everything

Stayed New Years Eve, Perfect location! So close to to everything. They let us check in early which was really helpful. Nice and clean, beds comfortable,robes and a nice view. The staff was very friendly. Can't wait to go back.
