Great proxcimity, good hotel w inconsistencies

Posted Nov 25, 2016
Pros: Proxcimity to MIT
Cons: A failure is there are no bedside clocks in any of the rooms. When I inquired to have one brought to the room I was told they don't have them.
As a chain, you need to get back to what travelers need. Simple expectations such as providing the basics of bedside clocks are absent here. Odd, and not very helpful at 2AM. Having clients fumble around for their iphone to check the time is not providing the very basics within the industry.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the experience that you had. It is a standard that all rooms have a clock radio next to the bed, and I have asked our Housekeeping Manager to immediately inspect all rooms to ensure compliance. Thank you for the feedback, as this is integral to our business.

Great place to stay in Cambridge

Posted Oct 30, 2016
The staff were welcoming, offered an option of rooms, and got me quickly checked in. The room was lovely, spacious, and clean with really nice full kitchenette. There was a full sized desk that looked out the window. The breakfast was awesome -- not just pastries and eggs, but real oatmeal with nuts, raisins, and coconut! The coffee was ok. I'll definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Not cheap but value for money was delivered

Posted Oct 11, 2016
Pros: - Full sized fridge; - Location close to ivy league schools and yet still reasonable proximity to attractions and popular districts
Cons: - No coat hook; - Ineffective bathroom fan (Not cool when 5 people sharing- fortunately we found 1st floor restrooms which were seldom occupied)
Location: Adjacent to MIT and major BioPharm/BioGenetics offices/facilities. Short drive to "Haavaad". If you like Italian, try "Amelia" just short walk away.
My crew and I (party of 5) stayed at this facility while visiting a family member attending Harvard, during the Canadian Thanksgiving LWE. The double queen suite room was spacious and while the postage-stamp kitchen had the necessities (the ice maker in the fridge was a nice touch) it was too small for any sort of substantial meal preparation (a theme seemingly continued throughout as the table provided seats only 2). Otherwise room was tidy and though no coat hook was found (hence "room comfort" rating of "pleasant" instead of "ok"), everything worked as it should (except for bathroom fan...). Free breakfast was substantial enough for me to change things up over 3 days, and went flat-out until cutoff allowing "near-brunching" for those hoping to skip lunch. This was nice to see, compared to facilities who (annoyingly) start to wind down way-before the official finish time-- even on the weekend. Did not use exercise room but my teenage kids did enjoy the small pool. Full-size see-through window in the wall separating the pool room from the guest laundry room is good idea. Bring an umbrella as there is an uncovered walk betw parkade and lobby. Hotel staff were pleasant and evidently guest-centric. This despite the fact that a good number of guests were seemingly not strong in English (property is close to MIT). Our trip was booked somewhat at last-minute and though we subsequently paid full-rate, we did not feel gouged and would recommend property to others.

Dear Ray, Thank you for the very comprehensive review and notes about the room. I will be certain to read your comments to our staff at tomorrow's daily meeting. Providing the guest comments directly to our associates is a critical way of having them stay focused on the most important piece of our business - the guest. I hope you will come back and see us soon, and perhaps consider the even larger Two Bedroom Suite which grants even more space in all living and sleeping areas at 750 sq. ft.! Thanks again for choosing us.

I was very pleased to learn about your stay. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about it. We recently experienced an internet outage for several hours, as our Internet Service Provider encountered a New England wide outage. I am glad to know that our staff provided follow up and will be sure to recognize their proactive efforts.

Roomy hotel in the Cambridge area/friendly staff

Posted Sep 19, 2016
Pros: good room size, great staff, good breakfast which was complimentary and enough room for people to have it.
Cons: check condition of furniture. One knob was missing on the dress and could not open that drawer. Kitchen could use a dish drainer
The hotel was priced well compared to other hotel. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room was good size and a great location

Top hotel stay ever anywhere

Posted Jul 7, 2016
The GM, John, was especially kind. I had a situation where I wasn't going to be able to receive a replacement credit card at my address but had the company overnight it to the hotel. John made a note on the res and a note on his calendar and called me when it arrived, which was the day before I arrived in Boston. After having worked at 4-star, 4-diamond hotels in the past, I could see how easily this could become a bad situation, but there John was when I arrived, smiling with envelope in hand. It was a fabulous 2-BR suite, perfect for our group and we had a very nice breakfast the next morning. A fine hotel and one I would love to visit again.
