Under renovation and incorrect pictures online

Posted Feb 24, 2017
Pros: I liked the balcony, the location and the staff
Cons: They need much better beds, completely new bedside lamps that are not blinding and a fridge in the room
Location: Close to absolutely anything of importance in Boston. Great location.
The rooms were renovated recently, so the pictures online are incorrect. Overall, terrible, terrible non-functioning new room design, BUT great location, phenomenal service and staff. The cleanest hotel I've ever been to. The bed was way too soft for me. I suspect it is a tempurpedic or some kind of memory foam because it makes me overheat and be drenched in sweat all night. I usually react this way to foam beds. The bedside lamps were treacherous, no intimate low light, just a blinding bulb. There is no mini fridge-huge disappointment. There are no low shelves or drawers in the closet. Seems like the big drawers were placed next to the bed in the bedside tables. This makes no sense when dressing in the morning. Please fire the designer and give your other staff a huge raise. They made our stay super pleasant! Cleaning staff and desk/concierge plus the greeter, all fantastic!

Your point of view is important to us and although you enjoyed some aspects of your stay, we’re disappointed that we did not win you completely over in all areas. Please know that we do offer mini refrigerators upon request. We hope you’ll give us another try in the future. Thank you.

Lovely hotel, great staff

Posted Feb 22, 2017
Hotel is in a great location, very central. Rooms are large and comfortable with balconies. Staff are verh friendly and helpful. The mark of a great hotel is how they respond if there is a problem and in this respect they are 5 star. Hotel only marked down as its undergoing renovation.

Great hotel, but was under renovation when we arri

Posted Feb 21, 2017
Pros: Location, location, location
Cons: to no fault of your own, the timing of the construction could've been moved to another date, so it didn't affect me ... I'm joking, of course haha
Location: Watch a performance at the Playhouse, Wilbur, or Wang Theaters ... Visit Boston Common and grab a bite to eat at many of the fine Restaurants in area
Overall, we had a decent experience, but unfortunately, our stay coincided with construction on site. It was slightly frustrating just trying to find the entrance to the lobby (which was on the 6th floor during Construction), and the construction work was on our side of the building outside, so we were unable to get too much rest, given that construction work starting at 7:00am the next morning. I'd give the hotel another try, but I'd confirm there was no more construction going on first....

Great Hotel, Great Location, Great views!

Posted Feb 21, 2017
Pros: Great Views, Comfy Beds, Great downtown location
Cons: The elevators did take a long time to show up and the floors can be confusing when you get on for the first time.
Location: A very short walk to the beautiful Boston Common, and some great restaurants nearby.
Fantastic two night stay in a king room with a gorgeous city view. Staff were all friendly, everything was clean and comfortable.

In the city, in between everything

Great time, nice hotel with parking right under the hotel. View of the city was great and it was right where we needed to be for the Patriots Parade.

Expected more. Onsite hotel parking was a hassle.

Posted Feb 9, 2017
Pros: Actually, there wasn't much I liked other than I could actually open sliding door to a small balcony.
Cons: Walls not soundproofed well. No room fridge. Hotel's onsite parking was a hassle.
Location: Near TD Garden.
I expected more for the price. It was fancy and all, but beds weren't comfortable to my or my kids. That's the most important thing. Easily heard noise from bathroom in adjacent room. Parking was a big hassle. I had kayak rack on my car, was directed to park "on the ramp", rather than the parking garage, by the valet on duty. As directed, I informed registration that I self parked on the ramp and to charge it to my room. First, the ladies at registration told me I needed a ticket from them, and then told me I didn't because I wasn't actually in their parking garage. When checking out in the morning, got lots of grief from the valet on duty. Questioning me about why I parked there, did I actually pay, how come I didn't leave my keys (he wanted my keys really bad even though I told him I was leaving within 10 minutes), etc. I did everything I was directed to so, I don't need this junk when I'm getting ready to leave. Poorly managed process. Won't go back. Also, probably in the fine print when I booked but in an expensive room, one would expect a mini fridge to be in place. If I want to fill a sink with ice to keep adult beverages cold, I'd stay at Motel 6. Mini fridge should be standard feature in rooms of this caliber, they are in chains that cost much less.
