Stay away from room 540
Posted Oct 10, 2016
The hotel, doormen, front desk, cleaning staff, bar tenders, bar, etc were all exceptional. However, our room number was room 540 which is an ADA room. The layout was very odd with the bed stuck in a weird alcove and facing a solid wall. The dresser and TV were to the extreme left of the bed so to watch, you lay on your side and the person on the opposite side of the bed has to look over you. Because of the ADA status, there was no counter top space at the lavatory. The shower was also odd with the shower head on the wall opposite the curtain and facing outside the tub instead of on the end wall as you would normally see. The only window to the room was 2' tall and 6' wide but was 5' off the floor with a terrible view of the rooftop and mechanical pipes and duct work on the adjoining roof. We traveled with 3 other sets of friends and all had wonderful views and typical room layouts. Our room was just wrong. It should have been a storage closet or utility room of some kind.

Hi Brad! Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review about The Bostonian. I am glad you found our staff to be "exceptional." It is unfortunate that you received a room that you were unhappy with. It is, of course, very important to ensure that you are happy with the room you receive at a hotel. I apologize that we were very busy the night you stayed here and were unable to accommodate all guest requests. Should you ever choose to stay at The Bostonian in the future, we will ensure that you receive an upgraded room type! Thank you for your feedback, which helps us improve as a hotel.
