Our worst hotel during our 10 day trip.

Posted Dec 15, 2016
Pros: The breakfast was actually pretty good (waffles), it seems like the only place they invested money into was the breakfast bar and check-in/out area.
Cons: The finicky shower water temperature for SURE. The coffee. The beds/pillows (old). The cramped layout. Light switches.
Location: The Hoover Dam and Lake Mead are close by.
Although the location was nice (close to the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead) just about everything else was disappointing. Upon entering there were no light switches so we wandered around in the dark until we found lamps. The housekeeping didn't do the best job as we found some garbage while looking for plug ins. The bathroom was frustrating to deal with. The toilet and shower were in the same "room", the door opened only inches from the toilet and while showering the water wouldn't stay the same temperature so I had to change it every minute or so instead of just enjoying my shower. I would turn it to warm, then it be warm but would quickly change to scolding hot, then warm, then scolding hot again. It ruined my morning for sure. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in years or there was just SO much wear in the floor that it looked that way, and the TV wasn't updated (we didn't use it anyways). When we ate breakfast (the ONLY people staying at the hotel) the two women at the front desk were gossiping the entire time as well as talking about money and ordering supplies for the hotel while complaining about management. Then when we went to check out, they were both sitting outside 10 feet from the door smoking... one lady quickly hurried inside to help us and she was actually very pleasant, but... you don't smoke outside the FRONT door. Also, the coffee was terrible.

Average hotel:pricey for what you get

Posted Nov 20, 2016
Because Boulder City has limited hotel options, seems this location prices their room on the higher side by $20-$30 more than in comparative locations in this chain that I have stayed at. P.S. would be nice if they left spare roll of TP in room, so not to have to wait half-hour to get replacement

Quality not overly apparent

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: Hotel is long overdue for upgrades such as paint, carpet, and general appearance type of maintenance.
Cons: The overall appearance, smell, and quality of the hotel were disappointing; thought this was a Quality Inn - little quality to this establishment. Apparently long overdue for some upgrades.
Location: Hoover Dam is still a wonder in engineering...

Nice quiet hotel.

Posted Oct 30, 2016
Pros: Quiet and room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Location was near Boulder City NV. We did not really need to visit city so can't say much on that score. Located near Hoover Dam.
Check in was easy and counter person was very helpful and polite. Also appreciated being offered a breakfast.

Dirty, dusty, and worn out.

Posted Oct 20, 2016
Location: No restaurants in local area. Virtually nothing in Old Boulder City. Had to drive 30 minutes to Henderson to get good dinner and breakfast.
Too dusty for kids and adults with allergies. Too dirty to store clean clothing. So old wind blows under/around door frames. Poor cable TV selection. Broken alarm clock. Dirty roll-away bed and linen. Go to Henderson and pay a few dollars more!

Fell like sleeping with a helicopter in the room. Wondering if the room was cleaned before...

One night stay

Pros: Not a lot
Cons: Upgrade this old hotel
Location: Ok, but no restaurants with in walking distance
This hotel needs a serious upgrade, bits falling off furniture, holes in the wall.
