Undergoing Renovation!!

Pros: New improvements
Cons: Block off (1) elevator for the construction workers to use.
The 3rd Floor is completely finished and is "very nice". The rest of the hotel? Not so much. They will do the second floor next, then the first. However, know that there is construction going on, elevators have dirty construction mats on the floor, and workers are using the elevators constantly. But again, if your willing to overlook all that as we did, the "new" 3rd floor rooms are EXCEPTIONAL!! Also, Amanda at the Front Desk is an absolute dream. Professional, very friendly, and more than customer friendly. Were it not for the construction, I would have given this place straight 5s across the board. Major_USMC

Time will tell

Pros: The new rooms.
Cons: Quality of breakfast
Location: Hike in the mountains.
This hotel is under construction. The old rooms are terrible but the new rooms are very nice. The quality of the breakfast here was the biggest disappointment. Staff were great.

Pros: Close to Rocky Mountain, nice view
Very to bottom of mountain, can oval view of Rocky, and in driving distance.

Pleasing hotel

Pros: room size, value for the price, very dog friendly, convenient location, parking
Cons: Breakfast is mediocre, we bring our own
We stay regularly at this hotel. The rooms are large and the beds quite comfortable. On this latest stay, we had some issues with the thermostat not working properly in our room, which caused us much discomfort. Otherwise, we are always pleased to stay here. It looks like they are beginning construction on one wing, hopefully that will not cause excessive noise during the day. We will be back!

I had a hard time finding a suitable room.

Pros: The Staff
Cons: Really monitor smoking in rooms and have a system to remove that smoke before the next guest arrives.
Location: The location is great in Louisville, Colorado. It is only 15 min. from Boulder,Colorado where ther is much shopping, hiking and beautiful view of the
I had a hard time finding a room that did not smell like cigarette smoke. When I did get a room that seemed to work there was water pouring in through the vent in the bathroom due to construction. I was shown another room that also smelled like smoke and had a barking dog next door. The construction workers worked until midnight creating much noise which was irritating at that hour. I was moved to another room which did not have a mini fridge so they had to bring in "the last one they had" then the heater in that room did not work. They fixed the heater while I was out for the day so I did not have to find another room. The staff at this hotel was competent and kind. It just seems as though they just need more infrastructure support.

Freezing room!

The heater in my room didn't work. It was actually blowing cold air. I called the front desk, the clerk asked if I had adjusted the temp on the thermostat. I said yes, he said it may be on a delay and to wait. I waited, still cold air (this was on a very cold and snowy night). Called back and he asked if I had reset the wall unit. Why didn't he say that in the first place?? So, I reset the wall unit twice...and still cold air. I called again and he said maintenance can fix it in the morning. I asked what I was supposed to do, just shut the heat off? He said yes. I ended up leaving and going somewhere else. He said he refunded the money back to my card, but it's still on there. I ended up paying more at the other place too! I live far from my work and was hoping to stay somewhere during snow storms, it won't be at the La Quinta.

Great location and good rooms

Staff was friendly and check us in with no hastle upon our late arrival. Room was clean and comfortable upon our 2 night stay. Thumbs up!

Beds too firm for me

Bed was a little too firm for my comfort. Did not sleep well here. Could not take advantage of breakfast. Breakfast starts at 6:30 and I had to leave by 6:00 ea day. Hair dryer did not work. Microwave was older but worked well. Room was clean except for a little dusty along popcorn ceiling.
