Dated, in dire need of an update.

Cons: Update and upgrade the rooms in the west wing.
The check in went smoothly and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I ended up in the west wing and was shocked at how rundown it was. When we got onto the creaky elevator after experiencing the stale smell in the entry way I was apprehensive. Walking down the hallway to our rooms, you could see where the wallpaper had been scrubbed to remove scuffs and stains. The rooms were in the same approximate condition, with scuffs and scrub marks obvious on the walls. Spots of mildew on the caulk on the bathroom and rust on the fixtures, as well as floor tile that appeared to be from the '70s completed the scene. The room was clean, and had it costed $60.00, I could not have complained. At over twice that amount, I expected more. I can't say I would never stay again, but I don't plan to. I can not speak as to the condition of the main part of the hotel, it might be much nicer and worth the cost.

Close to CU Boulder

Good value for those you want to stay close to campus. The hotel is old and a bit shabby but clean. I would stay here again.

The one functioning elevator was out for a few days. Whole place looks dowdy. Wish owners would put some $$$ into it as it has a GREAT location. The price was good.

Good location and absolutely adequate facility

Pros: Location. Price.
Cons: Maintenance.
Location: Excellent.
The building itself reminds me of the old Sovi-ex East European hotels. Cavernous, ugly, odd mix of things that work and things that don't, but overall it worked fine for me to spend a week while attending CWA at CU. Three minute walk to 28th st Mall (& interesting restaurants), decent bus service, 20+ minute walk from CU, large rooms, good HD TV. The lack of a fridge was a nuisance, the closet door with the full length mirror didn't close so one could only see half of himself at a time before stepping out to greet the world, & the housekeeping was inconsistent, but I'll stay here again next year for CWA.

Very comfortable, good food, only complaint is that near-by room doors SLAM all during tge night. Rude customers!

Halls dated and look like a college fraternity. Beds comfortable.

Great hotel near everything !

Vacation with boyfriend who has never had a winter vacation. This hotel was perfect, the rooms are big, the employees were so nice. Loved the vintage look !

Disappointed

It was Zero, big roomo balcony, small bathroom , outside view from outside zero Elevaors scaring. We were given a better room after we complained.

great staff, very friendly and accommodating! clean room and balcony was a plus. Elevator wasn't working one day, which wasn't awful but my room was on the 4th floor.
