OK Hotel

Pros: Close to all we were doing. Fairly close to Chicago but the hotels further north looked much better.
Cons: Better breakfast.and attention to the small details - mamking certain everything worked. Enclose the ice machine and washing machines. Both were
Location: There is not much in the Kankakee area to do. We were there for a class reunion and to see relatives. It is not a tourist distention.
The staff was pleasant but we only interacted with them at check in and when we were leaving or arriving. There have been a lot of smokers in this hotel as it smelled of cigarette smoke especially the hallways.. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The microwave did not work but all else was OK. For the price it did not measure up. We are from Southern California and this hotel would not stay in business very long there as there are too much competition. .

Everything looked dirty, dingy, and reeked of stale cigarette smoke. There were cigarette burns in the bedding and I'm not sure that what they had as pillows could even be considered as such.

Pros: I slept well. Good bed.
Cons: More staff, who aren't afraid to smile. The lobby area could use a re-model.
The bed was comfortable & the room was clean, but there were no towels & no amenities (iron, extra blankets/pillows). It felt under-staffed, & there was no coffee for breakfast the next morning.

The bed was very comfortable but the hotel was less than quality. Once I worked up the nerve to lay down on the bed it was ok. It's in a rather sketchy area just off the interstate. Bourbonnais is a nice town but the specific spot the hotel is in can be questionable. The hotel staff was nice. Room was not very clean. Toilet and shower didn't work correctly. I wasn't comfortable with leaving any valuables in the room while I was away. The chair in the room had a big stain on the seat and in that environment I didn't dare sit down.

Usually fair, but not this time

It is not a luxury hotel by any means. We stay there because of its location and price. Usually we do not have any problems. However, this time the room had not been compleyely cleaned. We had to go to the desk to get towels. The carpet had not been vacuumed either. The beds were made and the trash emptied, and that's about it.

Stay away from this hotel!!

I wish I could leave them 0 stars. I reserved this room because it said they were pet friendly. I arrive and am told they have changed their policy so I had to board my dogs last minute on a holiday weekend. The door to the pool from the parking lot was taped shut with blue duct tape. There is no elevator. The bed was dirty and uncomfortable. The microwave was dirty and the seals on the fridge didn't work. There was a lamp but when I tried to plug it in it was just a cord with wires exposed. Had to check out after one night still waiting for a refund. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!
