Chateau StayPosted Sep 13, 2015
We stayed at Chateau de Bourron in late July and we loved it. The owners are gracious and the chateau is impressive both inside and outside. It is situated in a small village which has a wonderful restaurant just a few blocks away. The chateau only offers breakfast. I would highly recommend a stay at this chateau to anyone.

Authentic chateau with modern comfortPosted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Stunning, authentic architecture, tasteful, fresh décor, gracious staff, gorgeous grounds. Nice Golden Lab in residence. Woods, garden, and moats.
Cons: Open back door to reach cars parked behind the chateau more easily; an electric fan would have been nice during unusually warm weather.
Location: Close enough to Fontainebleau for convenient dining and shopping, as well as visiting the expected sights.
This hotel was a very nice surprise, better than its reviews led me to expect. Gorgeous, authentic, and comfortable. We spent one night here after a long flight from the US to Paris, en route to Switzerland by car. The first nice surprise was check in. We arrived three hours early, dead on our feet after a turbulent transatlantic flight with no sleep. The owner greeted us, helped us with our luggage to our beautifully furnished room, and we immediately took to the bed, which was clad in good linens. When we awoke for dinner, the shower was another pleasant surprise: freshly renovated, large, good plumbing, and good water pressure. The grounds of the hotel are charming; well maintained without being overdone. Orange trees in planters lining the front of the chateau predate the French revolution. A huge sycamore tree looks old enough to have been in the revolution, too. The owner, Comte Guy de Cordon, runs the hotel himself and oversees the maintenance of the property. While dining at the restaurant on the chateau grounds, we saw him watering some newly planted fruit trees as darkness fell, about 10:30 p.m. Perhaps because of his personal involvement, our stay at this hotel was what we imagined guests of a working chateau might have experienced centuries ago. It was tranquil, beautiful, and refreshing. We look forward to coming back when we can stay longer.

Ett helt fantastiskt hotell! Vi kände oss mycket väl omhändertagna av slottsherren själv och spenderade en natt i ett vackert rum med personlig touch.

Awesome Chateau with Modern AmenitiesPosted Jun 20, 2015 on Hotels
I actually booked this as a second stop after Versailles, thinking nothing could compare to staying right next to the palace. However, I immediately fell in love with Chateau de Bourron. If you've ever wanted to pretend to be French aristocracy, then definitely stay here. It really feels like you are living in the late 1700s, well with an amazing bathtub! Make sure to walk around the chateau at night. Absolutely one of the best places I have ever stayed!

Thank you for giving us the ride from train station to the chateau at late night. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and it's amazingly beautiful here outside.

trip in the castle countryPosted Dec 19, 2014 on Hotels
This hotel is a luxury bed and breakfast. The rooms are well decorated with vintage furniture. It is perfect for romantic travel. You will not find the device of a 4 stars hotel but you will find calm and a taste of forgotten glory. For the price, I would thing that the breakfast should have been included.
