We stayed in the auxiliary building, the Maison d’Artagnan, in a beautifully appointed “comfort” room. Breakfast, which was delicious, was in the chateau itself. In our room there was a booklet that included a description of the history of the chateau, as well as recommendations for nearby restaurants and things to do. I highly recommend the Chateau de Bourron.

A memorable stay in a French Chateau
A wonderful place to stay . The picturesque Chateau is surrounded by wonderful unspoilt countryside, where we spotted a couple of deer a heron and other wildlife. The Conte and Contesse were the most delightful hosts and our room was decorated and furnished in a style befitting the character of the Chateau. All the amenities were up to date . We will be recommending it to friends and family

This was our second time staying at this Chateau. The owner is very nice and helpful and made sure that everything about our stay was smooth. The grounds are stunning and they have bikes that you can ride to explore them. This is one of a kind! We would love to come back.

Honeymoon in France
We are on our honeymoon in Paris. Decided to get out of town. We stayed at the Château and absolutely had a wonderful time. It is breathtaking and so relaxing. We cannot wait to come back! If visiting the area, make it a point to spend some time here you will not regret it.

A wonderful weekend stay at Chateau de Bourron. Our hosts made us feel very welcome at their wonderful family run property. We very much enjoyed staying in a grand room and exploring the hidden treasures in the grounds of the estate. We also met the owner/chef of the Michelin starred restaurant located in the old estate stables, and dining at ‘Les Premices’ was a marvellous gastronomic experience. Located just 10 minutes from Fontainebleau, this was an excellent experience and is highly recommended.

After staying at many enjoyable, but somewhat quirky places during our road-trip from Burgundy to Paris, Chateau de Bourron was a welcomed place of luxury to rest our weary bodies. You cannot help but feel like royalty when you enter the circle drive of this impressive, historical chateaux. We stayed on the 3rd floor in the 'Chambre Petit Roi De Rome' which was so pretty with its red toile wallpaper, large bathroom, and view of the front laws. The breakfast area was lovely and offered plenty to eat. This is a surcharge. I only wish we had had more time to explore the forest. A good reason to come back! I highly recommend Chateau de Bourron. Make sure you contact them on the day of your arrival so they can explain how to buzz in at the gate when you arrive.

We loved riding the free bikes around the huge property, was a very quiet peaceful stay. The room was small (no privacy with the bathroom) but very comfortable and enjoyed the coffee bar. We also found some nice restaurants in the area. Host/owner was very welcoming and pleasant.

Great romantic castle hotel
The Chateau is magnificent. Very romantic and peaceful. A few minor things would make it purely perfect: a coffee machine in the room, a hanging option for the bath faucet to make the bath into a shower too. Everything else is really really great. It’s the 2nd time we visited and we enjoyed it tremendously.

IT WAS A CHÂTEAU!!!!!! Gorgeous Château, for a great price. A great place to stay while visiting the different Château’s: vaux le vicomte, Courances, and Fountainbleau. We rode bikes around and three couples had three rooms each with our own bathroom. The little town was fun to visit as well.

Wonderful stay
The Château was beautiful and exactly as magnificent in real life as in the photos. Lots of walking paths on the property and easy access to the Fountainbleau forest. We will definitely return!

I am glad you like the property as far as the 42 hectares are concerned the purpose is to have a nature the most natural possible. You have the french perspective with traditionnal boxwood. You have hundreds of flower in the court of honour and thereafter it is a mix between nature and something wild. Thousands of wild dafodils are coming during the spring,snowdrops just before and wild hyacinth. just after. May be choose your date of coming depending next flowering. We are longing seeing you again

Charged for a luxury price without must to have
We paid over $350 per night for a room. The room didn’t have a refrigerator, a laundry bag, a TV, a lotion. It didn’t have an elevator that my daughter’s stroller can fit. These are must to have for a hotel in that price range. Very inconvenient and too expensive and nothing luxury.

For us, the luxury is not to have TV in the room, you have a 100 hectares park, Silence and incredible place for you to get resourced just one hour only from Paris. All the other facilities were accesible upon demand it is a pity you didn't ask it for. Elevator in historical Monument it is not always easy but we are lucky enough to have one... Bag for Landry are given upon demand. I maybe didn't explained you enough everything and for this i of course apologize. I hope we will be able to come back again and discover the real appela of this magical Chateau. I will be here for explaing you everything.

This was an incredible experience on a historic property. Even in the winter the property is beautiful and the nearby town is quaint and friendly. We stayed in the queens room and I highly recommend the castle! The train from Gare Lyon drops you off a half Km from the property! Merci!

There was absolutely nothing to do. No TV in the bedroom, terrible food. Super expensive... and it was not as nice as in the pictures. Far from everything. Won’t recommend it. There are nicer Château’s in France.

Family owned chateau
This historic chateau near Fontainebleu is a family owned labor of love. The count's well-written ( in english too!) history of the chateau is but one lovely touch that makes a stay here memorable. The rooms are clean, beautifully appointed, and very quiet. Huge and comfortable bed, absolutely delicious breakfast of croissants, excellent bread, jams, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, a nespresso machine... and family to check and ensure "do you have everything you need ". This is a more than first class, well located and special place from which to explore the ile de France. And cuisine from bistro to gastro nearby!

Lovely Chateau Living
The exterior and grandiose driveway as well as the surroundings are something to behold at this charming chateau just south of Paris. We loved our stay there, and had a room on the third floor with a lovely view of the front of the property. The hotel is run by a family that lives in the chateau full time, so there is a true B&B feel to the place, thus it is not really a hotel (no 24hr service of any kind, etc). The location is of course great, just outside of Paris and right at the edge of town so you can walk to go eat, which is what we did for dinner. The parking is free and has a huge lot off to the side, free of charge. Getting in the gate to the compound took some time for people to answer and open it however. The grounds are gorgeous and a treasure to walk around, especially in the early AM. We checked out so early that we woke up the manager and owner, but he was very nice. Sadly we only stayed one night, but it was definitely an experience...not for those who are over demanding. Again, it really is a B&B and you are left on your own for almost everything. There is a teeny tiny elevator that can barely fit one person and luggage so good luck transporting all your belongings. The bed was quite stiff and the room was rather cold, but we were in the attic and it had a rustic type feel that made it a true chateau experience. I would say it is much more appealing from the outside looking in than the opposite, but it was a very good price for what you get. Great for pics!

Chateau de Bourron is a beautiful historic building set within large attractive grounds. Our rooms were well equipped and tastefully furnished. Our host was charming and made us very welcome. A good breakfast is available, and an excellent restaurant is attached. An excellent place to stay if exploring the Fontainebleau area.

Great family owned castle
This is a great family owned and run castle in the heart of the castle district. Train to Paris is walking distance as are fine restaurants.
