The hotel is very cute and homey. Everything was within walking distance. The only recommendation I have is if you are a larger size person request a room with a bigger bathroom because there’s really no room to maneuver around the regular sized ones if you are a larger sized person

Stunning room and location.
Stayed here a few weeks ago, was a magical experience. Brilliant value for money in a stunning location. Manager was very friendly, will be back one day for sure, kind regards, William and Lisa 🙂👍

Quiet and comfortable
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. On a quiet road but easily walkable to bowness and the lake. Lovely breakfast would recommend!

Room was a good size and very clean. On-site parking was a bonus and you’re within a 5 min walk of the main amenities. Staff were very polite and friendly. Would definitely come back

Lovely B & B Bowness
Lovely overnight stay at The Westbourne. Staff friendly and attentive. Lovely breakfast. Near to local shops, bars,restaurants, cinema.

On arrival first impression was lovely. We were taken to our room, room 9. All well and good and happy. Downside bed to soft , pillows soft floppy and thin. When someone used the taps in another room you could hear it through the pipes. Also the noise from the above room was like elephants walking on the floorboards . And as for the room next door number 8. The noise was herendous, they may of been in the same room . No noise proofing at all. And then cars banging doors in carpark and someone parked up waiting for someone with music booming. Didn't get to sleep till gone 1am. The only enjoyable thing was the breakfast. Was hoping for a relaxing evening went home exhausted due to lack of sleep due to the bed ,pillows,noise and disturbance. Terrible experience . Will not be returning.

Great location.
Second time we have stopped here. Great location with free parking. You are literally minutes from Bowness centre. Rooms are fine with comfy beds and all the amenities needed. We will stay here again.

The welcome, the room, the staff, the restaurant recommendations. We did not like the small, claustrophobic bathroom which was roughly 4m x 1m!

We stayed in room 3. It was lovely and romantic with touches of sparkle and a sheepskin throw at the end of the bed. The breakfast was wonderful. The owners were super helpful and friendly. We had such a nice stay we went back for another night! Great value and location in a very B&B saturated market.

An amazing week at The Windermere
The Windermere is fantastic, my room was lovely and the bed so comfortable and warm, amazing hot showers. Fab breakfast too, proper full English, fruit, cereals, whatever you wanted. Great location too, quiet street, 5 minutes from the centre of Bowness with lots of pubs, restaurants and shops. Plus bus stop close by and great views from the top of the road at Biskey Howe. Great hikes a few minutes walk away. A great base for exploring the Lake District. Highly recommend.
