Great place, wonderful hospitality

Posted Aug 8, 2014 on Hotels
This was probably our favorite place we stayed while in Turkey. It's a B&B, not a Hotel, and part of the experience are the people who run it. Murat, Umit, Claudia are very cool interesting people who give you all the information about the island, speak perfect English, and are extremely helpful as well. The room was perfect, the hotel courtyard is a nice place to spend for breakfast or at other times. We stayed on the Greek side, which is the quieter side of this extremely small town. The main building and courtyard are on the Turkish side.

Home away from home

We haven’t stayed at such a comfortable and service-oriented little hotel in a long time. Aika is exactly what you would picture a delightful family–run B&B should be. Besides a great location near the port, the breakfast spread is delicious and the rooms are simple and spotlessly clean. What makes Aika stand out though is the helpfulness of the couple who run it. From their emails to their island tips or the island tour they gave us because we went without a car they thought of everything and made us feel right at home.

nice small hotel, ideally located

Posted Oct 20, 2012
Pros: high standard of rooms and friendly staff
Location: ideally situated in the nice little town - easy to reach restaurants, harbour, and beach
very nice location; rooms are very clean and of high standard incl. shower/bathroom, but not very big rooms - but the use of the garden (hotel) or the use of the lobby (townhouse) compensate for this; very frienly staff

A lovely destination

This modern and charming small hotel was one of the high points of our recent trip to Turkey. The furnishings were very nice, the location was excellent, and the owner couldn't have been nicer. We ended up changing our plans and spending an extra day. I would definitely recommend it, and plan to stay again on my next trip.
