Great location for Tampa. St Pete. Bradenton

Pros: Location, employees,and room size
Cons: Get the remodeling finished
Location: Near all interstates, close to many restaurants (less than 5 minutes)
Hotel is remodeling so was a little noisy. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was just right. The hotel employees were great. One lady (I think her name was Leona or Leonora) was unbelievably helpful and generous with her time.. Location is handy to I-75. I-4, and I-275. Quiet neighbor hood. Nice stay

Good except they gave my room away

Hotel is being renovated, it looks nice and staff is decently friendly. Only two thibgs bothered us; we paid for an accessible ground floor room and got a 4th story room because they overbooked. The other thing was very odd and discerning to us; there's a laminated flyer that states not to order food from places that put flyers under your door because they are not affiliated with the hotel. I was the only room to get one of these under the door flyers from a food company; which means either someone is watching the hotel to see what rooms have new people, or the hotel is selling its customer booking information lists. Neither of which is a comforting thought.

Serene setting

Quiet and comfortable, yet close to highway and unlimited shopping sites. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. We'll definitely be back!

Great stay at La Quinta

Pros: The room and the Breakfast and location !!
Location: Downtown and fairgrounds allot of other places are very close!!
We stayed at this motel for a Concert in Tampa and like always we had a excellent stay in there motel. I have stayed at this chain of motels previously and will continue to stay in there motels. Always have great service and great rooms and good continental breakfasts keep up the good work !!

Old Hotel

Cons: Needs to be completely remodeled, just old and sleepy
Location: In a nice area with some nice restaurants around.
Not a bad hotel just old and sleepy and smells like pets. Bed was clean so not too bad.

No air in Florida summer

Location: Location close to freeway
We checked in at 9 p.m. Given a room with non-working air. I went to the desk and was grilled about the problem. I asked if the engineer could check it as I had already moved all of our things in. I was told no one was on duty and was given another room 2 floors up. Asked if I could check that room and was given attitude from the desk clerk stating I could not have access to new room without vacating the other room. The clerk said he was busy and could not come up with me for some time. I waited for 30 minutes before he came up. The new room did not have the same accommodations of refrigerator and microwave as I had booked/requested and purchased.I asked if I was being charged the same amount and was told yes. No other rooms. So I had to get all of my things out of the old room before I could get a key to the new room. We had been running from the hurricane and just wanted a clean, cool comfortable spot to sleep. Not a bunch of hassel. The hotel grounds and hall rugs were dirty. I have stayed at La Quinta many times in the past and am a member of their club. This was the most disappointing stay to date. Would have been nice to have a supportive friendly staff person instead of the one we encountered.

Great helpful staff. I would suggest queen size beds instead of doubles. Breakfast could also be expanded to include more hot items and pastries

The bathroom is in need of updating. There was rust in the bathtub and a strong smell of cigarette smoke.
