The staff was useless, we couldn't even get a TV controller for our room. Poor service, poor staff. There are a lot of other choices in Branson, and we will be making a different choice next trip. . .

This property has really gone down hill. I was really shocked from 3 years ago. They do a good job of trying to keep it clean. But carpets needed to be clean, shower curtain needed to be changed, and breakfast and pool as described was unavailable. I was really disappointed. I won’t go back.

We for a room on the bottom floor which feels pretty much like a basement with the small window and low ceiling. Not sure how the other floor rooms looked or would feel less tiny. It was kind of a ghost town never saw one other guest and only 2 cars in the parking lot so that was strange but the hotel served it's purpose with a bed to sleep in so worked for us.

The hotel was very clean. We had the entire place to ourselves, there was hardly any guests due to it being the off-season in Branson. However, there was no gym facility, no complimentary breakfast offered, pool was not open. These are basic items that should be consistent with a hotel that you are paying $90 or more a night.

We highly recommend the Branson Hillside Hotel! The staff were so friendly and attentive. Our room was perfect-great bed, pillows and clean. We will define stay here again. Super location and close to Table Rock Park and Lake. Very easy to get to and accessible to everything we were there to visit.

I am only giving this review because there was nothing to do. We came down to go to the indoor pool ,for my daughter’s birthday, that was pictured on google when we looked up the website. We had been at this location before and really enjoyed the pool. When we got there they told us they don’t own the property with the pool that is still on the website. They had mini golf but everything is frozen. The hotel was nice and did fine if I was just needing a hotel. It was very disappointing.

Wonderful place to stay
We had an amazing stay with friends. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome and made the stay fun. The night receptionist hides little ducks around for the kids to find. So much fun! We enjoyed our stay.

We were able to check into our room early. It is a little hard to find because the sign is not up yet up yet. However once we found the entrance the motel was clean & inviting , our room was very nice .

Nice price, nice staff. Disappointed restaurant was closed for renovations. One of our rooms was not ready even though we were given the key, but the staff took care of it quickly. Overall a nice place to stay.

Too many issues
Arrived at night , given room that had broken heater / blower that would not shut off. Staff were nice and attempted to correct but eventually moved to another room across the hall. Rooms very tight on space and even with minimal luggage, tight space. Hotel under renovation.,maintenance man did his best, other staff seemed indifferent.,

I stayed here years ago when it was the Welk Resort and it was great. I really didn’t spend much time in the hotel as it was Veteran’s Week in Branson. The only reason I gave a couple of 3 stars is because it needs updating, especially the carpets. The staff was very friendly, check in & out easy. It is at the other end of town away from the traffic (closer to Silver Dollar City) so it’s pretty quiet. Had a nice display that week out in front with the Vietnam Wall and wreathes to honor the Veterans.

Property and room were clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Like others have mentioned there is no signage with the hotel name. It would have been extremely hard to find if I had not read a review mentioning that. A temporary banner type sign somewhere in front of the hotel might be beneficial. Would stay here again.

It's reasonably clean and affordable. Our TV didn't work, so we were moved to a room where the TV also didn't work. At that point we were too exhausted to fuss about it. The staff was polite, but not completely competent. Check in took quite a while and they seemed pretty flustered when we needed to change rooms. As hotels go, it's just ok.

What is advertised is not what you get!! The room looks so nice in the pictures.. it’s not. There was no hot coffee in the lobby, nor bar or restaurant!! When I checked in, the lady said there would be a breakfast buffet… incorrect! Nothing! Checkout is 10 not 11! The name of the hotel is not anywhere on the building! Just very disappointed in what I thought I was getting, and what I actually got!

When we arrived, other guests were in the lobby that had been waiting for a while to check in. They had been ringing the bell, even made a call. Someone finally came to check us all in. They were off doing something else and left the desk unattened. We were there late October when the weather was changing to colder weather. When we would turn the heat on a little, after a few minutes it would turn to freezing cold air. We told them at the desk, they said they checked it, but it did that our 5-night stay. The Resort has changed hands and been split up. Room rates has gone up. It seems as if the water slide area may no longer be part of the Hotel. Plus, they have been working on it forever!! Now, they say it will be finished in June 2024. This is a great asset for the Hotel for families. Also, the breakfast was very good and quick to be served but would be nice to have a free breakfast with your stay like most hotels. We have been staying at what use to be The Welk for several years and have enjoyed it. We hope we can continue.

This hotel did not have a sign outside indicating the name of the hotel, so had to verify inside if it was the hotel. Then my room was not ready and I had to wait past check in time. The room was nice enough but they need to make some updates.

Starting with the good- rooms and lobby were clean and nice, the staff was kind especially the housekeeper and restaurant staff, the breakfast buffet was tasty and very reasonably priced, the facility as a whole has great potential. Now the bad-online shows check-in at 4 and their signage shows 3. We arrived after 4 but our rooms weren’t ready til around 440. Being in a tourist town you would think the hotel would be prepared for customers needing to attend their timed ticketed events. No apology was given, they just kept extending the time that our room would be ready. No offer to even hold our luggage until we got back. That entire encounter put a bad taste in my mouth and is reason enough for me to no longer stay at this hotel. There is no signage on the hotel to let you know you’re at the correct place. Depending on what time you arrive, it looks like a vacant run down theater. The building that houses the restaurant could be more inviting. It currently looks like you might be murdered on the way to breakfast but clearly I’m willing to take that risk for food. I asked if the hotel was recently opened and was informed the new owners took over july 1st. That’s nearly 4 months to work out the kinks so that’s disappointing.

We had someone open our door because “the system” assigned another customer to our room and given them a key card. Also, they do not have signs telling you the name of the hotel so you don’t know if you are at the right place.

Do not waste your money on breakfast here. It is a complete ripoff. It was the same slop you get at a cheap motel but we were led to believe it was good. Just watery gravy and fake scrambled eggs. Never again!!

The property was very clean. My one complaint is there is ZERO signage. We drove around for 30 minutes trying to figure out where to go because there isn’t a single sign for the hotel. But it was very clean and the staff were super kind. My husband did his morning walk around the property and felt safe.

Overall our stay was ok. The hotel staff was kind and cleanliness was good but we consistently encountered little issues throughout the stay. Getting to the property was very confusing. The campus had signs that said “check-in” but lead to other hotel properties/areas. There was not even a hotel name sign on their main check-in building. Our room did look relatively modern and clean (like their pictures) but our TV did not work. The only option to remedy this was to move to another room, which was hard for us as we had already completely unpacked, have young kids and it was getting late. According to our provided Hotel info sheet, that did let us know they were under new management, it noted we can request playing cards and family games at the front desk but when we did this the hotel associate couldn’t find any. They also had some lawn games on-site but those were noted on the info sheet only to be utilized before dark. As it’s October and it gets dark earlier we were not able to use these amenities. The hotel served breakfast but it was on the opposite side of the main building. The restaurant itself appeared more like an outdated banquet hall. Though the waitstaff were extremely friendly and helpful and the buffet offered a good variety, the actually food was unfortunately not good. I wish I could give a better review as it’s lobby/rooms looked more modern and pleasing compared to most properties in the area and the staff was kind, I can only say our stay was just okay.
