Fine hotel, good value for the money

Posted Jun 27, 2016
It is located in a Soviet building which is renovated, but the designers left the old flavor (in a good way though). It is renovated nicely. The breakfast is very rich. The hotel is walking distance from the bus station, but somehow a bit far from the center (25 minutes of walk or a short bus ride).

It was great, they could have been more helpful when explaining how to get around by bus (since none of the bus stops are in English). Breakfast was great, the restaurant serves good food for a good price.

Nothing to complain about

Posted Jun 7, 2016
Pros: Very clean and quiet.
Cons: The housekeeping stop trying to change your towels everyday when there is no need to change them everyday.
Location: The hotel is slightly out from the tourist centre but is only 5 mins on the bus. Buy a daily or weekly bus pass. Bus 50 - two stops and change to 70.
I was on the top floor with a room with a balcony so my review is based on this. Clean, spacious room...enough for one person. Great shower (no bath but do not like baths anyway). Good choice of food for breakfast.

Nice hotel / rundown area / walking distance to

Posted Jun 1, 2016 on Hotels
Booked this hotel due to close proximity to the historic center. Parking is right in front of the hotel and it will cost you 10 EUR per night. The neighborhood is rundown and graffiti is everywhere. It takes about 15-20 minutes’ walk to the city center. City center is much prettier but you can smell cigarettes smoke everywhere. Breakfast was complimentary and continental. In case you eat at the hotel you will get 20% discount from the bill. The restaurant is very grand. Staff was friendly. The room was clean, beds harder, lingering cigarette smoke in the hallway. If you are bigger size not sure if you would fit through the shower door and I am not sure if they have a room with a bathtub. The gym is very small and the air-conditioning does not work, you get hot very quickly. The air quality in Bratislava is very bad in case you are struggling with respiratory issues.

Good Breakfast, Room let down by a housekeeping mistake, as the towels were missing, also no milk/ coffee cream in the room.

Quiet family hotel with peace and quiet.

Posted Mar 28, 2016
Pros: Nice and cosy
Location: A bit out of the way. They should have better arrangements for taxis to city centre.
Good bedroom with space. Clean linen and amenities and a hospitable staff. Suggestions : Breakfast should have some options on breakfast pertaining to types of eggs and fruit juices.
