We just adored this cute cabin and the creek area behind it, and my dog wants to move there permanently! ;) Listening to the creek from the deck was so peaceful - we were there for three weeks, and found ourselves staying at the cabin instead of venturing out more often than we thought we would. We brought our own hummingbird feeder, and enjoyed watching the Rufus and Broadtail hummingbirds visit (we always brought the feeder in at night so the bears wouldn't get to it). Just an FYI, the cabin sits above 10,000 feet.
There was plenty of firewood, with a hatchet to make kindling, and we really enjoyed the wood-burning stove. The kitchen was well stocked - even has a Ninja blender and a stand mixer! There was a nice large pantry cabinet available for our dry goods. When we didn't feel like cooking, Breckenridge was a ten minute drive. We especially loved that we could open the bedroom window at night and listen to the creek!
The property management service was great, too! They were very prompt, and friendly. We requested new propane for the gas grill when it was running low, and they responded quickly. I happened to mention that the shower drain was running slowly, and they cleaned it out right there and then, and took the hatchet for the firewood away to sharpen it, and brought it back the next day.
An important note: as we were there three weeks, we did have to put a full garbage bag in the garbage bin outside. Even though there are tight clasps to seal the lid, a bear did get to it the first night we put stuff out by flipping it on its side, and pulling some of the garbage out from a corner. If you have a longer stay, I'd recommend asking the property manager for pickup on a specified day, and pulling the garbage back inside at night if they can't make it until the next day.
Overall, we had a fantastic time, and will definitely be back!
