Old and small

Posted Feb 4, 2018
I picked this hotel because it had a decen rating , so I figured it must be good. I'm confused on how it got that high of a rating. Let's start with the good news before the bad. There's the cutest most sweetest dog in the office, and the linens are clean. That's it. Now the bad. Immediately when you walk in your room you can see how old it is, i feel like i was renting a room from someone's house that desperately needed money. The door was filthy with hand prints, the carpet had to be at least a decade old. I went in the winter and it was snowing, so i go to turn on the heat, and the heater was so old that i could blow out more air by just breathing. It took the whole night for the room to be a comfortable temp. I go to the bathroom and i was in disbelief. I needed to use the toliet. So I'm a average weight person, I tried to sit down to use the toliet and i barely fit there's a wall in front of you when you sit down and my knees are hitting it! I had to sit crooked to be able to use. I go and take a shower, wait, there's no shampoo or conditioner?! They only give you one bar of soap, and that's it for the bathroom. I turn on the shower and the water is just spitting out because the shower head is so old. I get in, and i realize I'm too big for this shower! Again I'm average size. I just fit as long as i don't have turn around or anything. I feel like a rv bathroom is bigger than this. One more thing, the remote for the tv, only half the buttons works.

We're sorry you were not happy with your stay. We have been in business for over 30 years. Many of our guests are return guests. Granted we do need some updating which is coming in the near future. Some of your accusations are off. Our showers are standard size. Our heaters can heat the rooms up to 90 degrees quickly. Regarding shampoo and conditioner, we do not supply these items. It helps to keep our costs down, and we have found a lot of waste with these items. A few of your issues could have been easily remedied had you just let us know. Obviously we are not your cup of tea.

We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of snowshoeing. We also enjoyed the wood fire in the lobby and the hot tea and cider. The breakfast was excellent! The room was warm after the manager lit the pilot light. It was clean and comfortable.

This was a good to place to sleep, that's all we needed. Nice that there was an option for people staying with dogs.

Hop skip and a jump from Breckenridge!

Posted Jan 25, 2018
Pros: Affordability and ease of access to Breckenridge,
Cons: Better furnace control, more sets of towels in room and a little bathroom updating.
Location: Breckenridge Distillery for cocktails, Breckenridge Brewery for the beers, Mother Loaded Tavern for cheap eats, Columbine Cafe for breakfast.
Exactly what I was looking for. Affordable accommodations just outside of town with biscuits n' gravy and an outdoor hot tub to boot! Is it the Ritz, of course not, but the staff was incredibly friendly, house pups included. Only complaint is the TV remote was being a turd and the furnace in the room was either full blast or off. Id recommend to friends looking for a ski trip on the cheap. Thanks!

Such a great getaway. Warm and inviting.. no frills but perfectly suited for our trip. Basic necessities and close enough to town. Good value.

I stayed here for three nights on a ski trip. Staff was very friendly and willing to help at every request. The location is perfect and their amenities include everything I would want at this price range. I will be staying here again.

Nice little spot that's cheap, a bit run down.

Posted Jan 17, 2018
Pros: Dude in the front was great and the price was cheap. Pretty close to Breckenridge
Cons: renovation of the rooms.
Great pricing for the room but you can hear everything anyone does inside and outside. Also some issues with ceiling and wall cracks, overall looks old. Still, nothing that bad really for the cheaper price!

Perfect for serious skiers!

Posted Jan 16, 2018
This little inn is just perfect for a ski vacation! It’s probably not an entertaining place for a non-skier to hang out, but it’s perfect if everyone in your party skis. The rooms are small but clean and warm. Driving right up to the room is great for unloading gear at the end of the day. Ask for a room numbered 20+ for a better parking situation. They serve breakfast every morning during ski season! It’s plentiful, and there’s a gorgeous fireplace to enjoy. We will be back, because it met our needs and exceeded our expectations. It’s not fancy, but it’s a great place to bathe, crash, and access the slopes! It’s a short walk to the bus stop if you don’t want to deal with Breck parking. Its about 5 minutes from downtown Breck and about 20-30 minutes from Copper Mountain ski resort.
