Fruit flies nesting in the sink. Room smells, decor is worn out. Needs a serious remodel.

Yikes!!! I have had our head housekeeping team keep a close eye on all rooms and sinks to see if they could spot anything since you posted as anonymous and we cannot be sure of what room you stayed in or even if it was a recent stay - I am extremely relieved to say that they have found nothing and there have been no other reports of nesting pests anywhere! As for the room decor and remodel; we recently remodeled our whole lobby and are about to start the remodel of the 2nd stage of our main floor, we have also been adding new pieces to the rooms one item at a time.... hopefully you will be back to see all of the changes we have made!

I guess it was OK for the price

First off, I did get this room for a steal on Expedia.com, but I wouldn't recommend it. Check in was fine, but my room was on the first level with barely a view. The bed was uncomfortable and in a weird position in the room. The room was "well-worn", just a bit dingy, but the bathroom was clean. The latter being most important for me. The wi-fi did not work, even after calling the front desk. They had 4 or 5 routers, you think one of them would work. I didn't sleep at all. I could hear the person in the next room coughing - although it sounded like they were in the hallway - every 30 minutes. My neighbors upstairs were loud steppers, but only for a few minutes at a time. The continental breakfast was OK, but they would charge you if you took it to your room, even though the utensils and plates were paper. The eggs looked horrible, there was excess water making it soup. There was a waffle maker, I guess that was positive. Overall, I will not stay here again, even though I will pay higher rates at another hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your thoughts, we appreciate all feedback - knowing where are strengths and weaknesses help us improve! We are very disappointed to hear that you had a less than excellent stay. I am not sure what the issue with the routers was during your stay; I do know that we recently changed systems and providers and during that period there were quite a few kinks that needed to be worked out - our main building has the ability to connect via ethernet, were you able to try that? As far as the breakfast goes, I am appalled and very sorry that you (and others) had that experience. The warmers that the hot foods are placed in are heated by hot water underneath so they do collect condensation under the lid, usually the food is eaten and replaced so quickly that water build up in the container doesn't happen - I will definitely alert our staff that has been an issue. Again, I am very sorry - I have never seen that happen before! We would love for you to come back and experience our hospitality in the way we want all our guests to. If you do book with us again you will see that your experience was the exception to the rule!

Beautiful location with just enough touch of modern to make it convenient. Very friendly staff and very accommodating.

What The???

Pros: Breakfast and beach
Cons: Staff control and participation and cleanliness
Would have been a nice stay-great breakfast! Except 1. The entire 3rd floor stunk of weed. All day, all night 2. After my bath the morning of departure I noticed a pile of what had to be poop or throw-up on the toilet base. Something like that can not be overlooked! 3. More importantly I contacted the hotel and received no call back from management. I have a picture of the poop that I sent the staff-you want me to post that-I don't think so...

Yikes! I am so incredibly sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay with us! The things you mention in your review are not tolerated in our establishment under any circumstances - I double checked our message log and I did not receive a message recently for a guest call back - because this is an anonymous review I cannot be sure if you stayed recently or years ago... that being said, I would really appreciate it if you would email us the picture you talked about so I can use it as a tool to address our housekeeping staff directly! The third floor of one of our buildings is a smoking floor, we do ask guests to keep their doors to the hallway closed and if we become aware that someone is smoking marijuana (which is legal in Washington State) we ask them to do so far away from the buildings. Occasionally someone will smoke in their room - when that happens we do the best we can to clear the air as quickly as we can. We would love to talk to you further about your experience and the timing of it.... thank you for letting us know what happened!

Totally enjoyed our stay. Quiet, clean, comfortable room. A good hot and cold breakfast. Nice view, very relaxing. Friendly staff. We like to hop on the bus (right across the street) and ride to the ferry terminal for a day in Seattle.

Nightmare at Oyster Bay

Husband booked hotel room through Expedia. They would not let me check in because the reservations were in my husband's name. Shannon the manager took about 45 minutes to straighten out the miscommunication. The room was outdated and there was black mold in the bathroom and the ironing board too dirty to use...see pic' s. The only positive remarks I have are that the view was lovely from my window and the continental breakfast was good. I would not recommend this hotel.

I apologize for the hassle you had at check in unfortunately, we are bound by the contractual rules we were given by Expedia who you booked through. One of their rules is that we are unable to check a guest in on a reservation that they are not specifically named on to avoid fraud or theft of services. We did what we could do in order to correct the miscommunication between you/your husband and Expedia when it was booked but there is only so much we can do. I would have been much more help to you and had been able to get the issue resolved much quicker had I not been at home when I got the call. I do not have access to the work computer system or our accounts from my residence in order to protect your information, other guests information and our company information. As far as your pictures go - I am stunned and sincerely apologize. Our housekeeping staff is better than that! I have passed these on to our housekeeping team and upper management.
