They said they were fully booked so it is what it is. They provided a shuttle to the ferry to get to Mackinac Island which was nice. Front desk manager offered lots of recommendations for food and activities. (Would NOT recommend Rusted Spoke, had a very disappointing experience there) No……

“Rustic and run-down. The floors were buckled and coming up. BUT it was clean, and the shower had plenty of hot water for both of us to use. The beds were comfortable and again, clean. The management was very nice and helpful. It is a long way from town; be prepared to bring a bike and walk that bike up the hills. We booked a studio condo and found out that their website was down and they overbooked. We were put into a 2 queen bedroom with a small fridge and microwave. We were not given a……

“The location was excellent. It’s right on the beach. the shuttle service to and from Sheppler was top-notch service. Housekeeping cleaned our rooms every day. The maintenance guy was beyond amazing. Make sure bonfires and s’mores every night. The breakfast was pretty decent as well. Only minor thing I would mention is the bathrooms were small and the toilets could use an upgrade. Otherwise, it was an excellent day and I would definitely recommend if you want to stay right on the beach.”
