Watch out for local bugs

Check in was fast and efficient. The major problem I had was with my room. As soon as I got in, I saw a huge live bug sitting on my bed. I called front desk. The person informed me that hey are local bugs and are harmless. REALLY? I don't think so. I find it hard to believe. I told her that it's not acceptable and that I wanted to change rooms, at which point she points out that all the rooms have these local bugs. WRONG ANSWER. You have to be joking. That's the last thing you should be telling your hotel guests as an excuse. Well, I changed rooms. The new room didn't have any bugs in it and was fine. I guess not all the rooms have bugs. Go figure!!! I won't be staying at this location again. This is the first incidence I've had with Microtel and I use them often for my travels.
In addition, although there are handicap parking spaces, there are no handicap door buttons to the hotel entrance. Odd.

Thank you for taking time to review our hotel! We are very sorry that you ENCOUNTERED the SEASONAL stink bugs. They are harmless, they are attracted by light. Not all rooms have stink bugs SO YOU ARE RIGHT. I do apologize for your feelings being hurt when it was said that all rooms have them.
You failed to mention that we apologized for your first room not meeting your standards. We did upgrade you to a much nicer room for the trouble you was having.
There is parking for the handicap they are located in the front of the hotel and also in the back. We are very sorry that we do not have the automatic door buttons.
