"The perfect place to stay in Brighton "
This hotel is gorgeous. There's something interesting to look at it in every corner. A lot of thought and care has gone into this place. We stayed in the king size room which was stunning. The lighting is great and you can even play around with the LEDs. A lovely deep bath with some nice bath oils to relax in after a day walking the lanes. The shower was huge too. Check in was easy and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and I preferred it to the normal fry up. Bagels, croissants, meats, cheese, salmon, fruit, yogurt. It all tasted so fresh. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the pier so the perfect location. The area is not too noisy at night. The only negative comment we have about the hotel is that because our room was below the breakfast room it was a little noisy in the morning due to the hard wooden floors. Wouldn't stop me coming back. We will definitely try to stay here any time we are in Brighton. Loved it.

"Great place to stay."
Lovely room (10) chosen for roof terrace. It was February and terrace didn't get used for many minutes. Kept us fit climbing all the stairs! Breakfast was good and staff were very accommodating.

"In the right place"
Good hotel, multi carpark not far away, free parking from 8pm to 8am. Then you had to dash to put a ticket on. Breakfast was really good and made to order. Staff were good . Very handy for shops, food and snacks etc. Will stay again. Would also say the rates were very good and with a good breakfast.

"Fabulous B&B"
We had a lovely stay at Guest and the City, with a very warm and helpful welcome from David & Eric. Parking was easy with the permit system, the room was compact but had everything we needed and decorated to a high standard and to finish off the breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. We will be going back for a second visit and wish we had been able to stay longer!

"Central, Quiet, Extremely comfortable and friendly"
This is a rare experience where I really see little room for improvement. This place is basically a bed and breakfast. It has 6 rooms. We were in room number 6, top floor. The room feels cozy (and by no means small) and the bed is very comfortable. In the morning, you get breakfast, my advice is try the blueberry pancakes, extremely yummy. You can see the place is run with love and care. It is a couple of minutes walk away from the Brighton Pier. What I really liked was attention to detail such as: they have a space heater, you can borrow DVDs and watch them from the bed, printer and wifi on every floor and other little bits that big chains don't think about. There are a couple of disadvantages, essentially it is a typical English house with narrow stairs and 3 floors so if you do have trouble walking, just ask for a lower number room :) . Also, there is no reception which can be a disadvantage if you need something in a hurry but they are always available and a phone call away and for me I preferred the privacy. This place is so great that I can only think of a few little things to improve, such as having disposable slippers and even though the street is quiet, double glazing windows would complete the experience to absolute perfection.

"Lovely boutique hotel"
Beautiful room (Lossie), very clean and quiet most of the time, this room has a view over Regency Square. Our only gripe was that there was work going on in the room above us which was very loud from 8am every day.

"A lovely experience"
We enjoyed our stay here during our short break in Brighton. The guest house is well modernised in its look and we'll looked after. The staff here were so friendly and very willing to help. The room although small (which we knew beforehand) was well presented and we enjoyed the little touches such as the marshmallows for hot chocolate, the bottled water etc. Our only two criticisms of our stay were: 1. the room got too hot. 2. the view from our window - a concrete jungle look along with pigeons and their previously digested meals. Going back to the positives, breakfast was a real highlight for us. There is a great choice of cooked dishes from the traditional English, to pancakes and bacon, to a chefs special, to porridge. The quality of the food was fantastic with the guest house boasting that they use local ingredients which showed. There was a lovely young waitress who was only too happy to look after us during breakfast bringing us teas, coffees and serving us our food. We were very pleased with our stay overall and would definitely stay again if ever back in the area.
