Great classic French country experience

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Fantastic location on Le Loir (a tributary to the Loire), can't beat sitting out on their terrace with a glass of wine. Bistrot meal was great.
Cons: Gourmand restaurant experience a bit stuffy for us Americans. Our meal in the bistrot was actually better, maybe we ordered better.
Location: Visit Angers, castles, wineries, drive around cute villages.
Nice rooms with very high ceilings (1er etage in main house). Bathrooms a bit outdated, but Hermes toiletries are a nice way to make up for that!

Overnight stop

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Nothing to dislike.
Cons: Hard to suggest anything based on such a short stay.
Location: Beautiful setting in lovely countryside.
We were on our way to La Rochelle to visit a friend and treated ourselves to a stay at this sumptuous chateau. A pleasant experience with excellent comfort and very good food.

すべてが快適

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros:

One night on the way to La ROchelle

this is a stunning, really French, hotel. It is expensive but beautiful - setting, location, style, pool.... everything is quality.
