A comfortable hotel near the Brisbane City Hall

Situated near the Brisbane City Hall with an open restaurant and bar within the square in front of the city hall, the hotel is also a short distance to the other end of the Queen Street Mall. It is also near the King George Square Bus Station providing convenient transport to various spots of the city.

Very dated

Pros: The foyer/lobby area is open and welcoming. Check in/out was efficient and staff friendly. Cons: Room I stayed in was very dated and felt unclean. Scuff marks all over the walls and skirting boards, black dirty marks all over the mirror, and throw pillows/chair/carpet in the room felt grimy and over-used. Common hallways from elevator to rooms also very tired. For $30-$40 extra per night, there are a lot nicer places to stay in Brisbane CBD.

Close to city

Staff were friendly and the rooms were comfortable. Beds were so comfy and the pillows were perfect.

Old, dirty looking room

I came in to the hotel hoping for a clean room but that was not the case. As soon as I came into the room, there was a bad odour like an old carpet smell welcoming me. There were lots of stain in the bathroom tiles, walls and inside the bath tub. I left the ac on the whole time however the room wasn't cold at all. I had to ask for a fan. I definitely won't return to this hotel.

Excellent location, central to all facilities.

Went to Brisbane for a wedding and had to catch a bus from Roma St station and it was a pleasant stroll to and back and was able to window shop in the mall as it is only a short walk.

Central location but difficult to see if you drive

GPS is not effective in concrete forest and the sign of the hotel is not seen. I have spent almost half a hour driving around to find the hotel but failed. At the end I stopped at a street corner and resorted using my legs to walk around. The hotel is just where I passed.

Pros: Very convenient location
Cons: Staff need better training to ensure guests are informed of everything at the time of check in.
Location: Location is excellent - very central.
We stayed for 2 nights. They forgot to service our room despite the fact that we had been absent from the room from 9am until 5pm. the pool is operational and nobody told us that when we checked in. The check in process was a debacle. The staff member took information that was never entered into the computer and then we had to do it all over again. The car parking is really expensive and nobody told us about how the system operates. We had a room booked for 4 people but there was only towels in the room for 2 people.
