The room was excellent. Check out slow (system blamed) staff uncommunicative. Restaurant food good enough but very slow service and waitress was defensive bordering on rude when we complained, blaming kitchen staff, which was not our problem but theirs to sort out. Shame as decent hotel.

Most of the rooms in parts of the older/dated part of the hotel are without heating. We were lucky and were moved to one of the new rooms or we would have stayed elsewhere. Clearly, judging by the number of heaters around the property this has been an issue for some time. Confirm you will have a room with heating if staying here. Offered free parking as compensation but just noticed they still charged for both nights anyway. New 1000 numbered rooms are lovely. Older rooms are dated with lots of damaged to furniture. In room coffee provided for one of two nights only.

The staff at check in were excellent , I requested a ground floor room due to being temporary movement difficulties, was asked if preferred shower over bath or walk in , again due to temporary difficulties the walk in shower was ideal. We had a room in the new extension which was brilliant even the TV was one of the best in size for a hotel bedroom we have seen. Only one negative during our stay was shortly after check in and sitting at the main entrance the duty manager decided to give a member of the checkin staff a roasting for whatever , our daughter like myself has managed large teams and in no way would we talk to a member of staff in front of others the way the lass had to endure even worse in front of guests.

Well presented hotel. Foyer and bar are great. Staff were welcoming, even got free cookies on arrival. Room was spacious and clean. The pool was a decent size and changing rooms were fine. Would recommend.

The issue we faced that there were no room available by the time we arrived there even after booking was confirmed we had to wait for awhile, but staff was helpful to sort it out in half an hour time so at the end it was all okay, but I will double check it from the next time onwards

A one-night stay so not entirely representative in some ways but from checkout to room availability parking and breakfast all ran smoothly. We booked late for Christmas night, and we had twin beds, not a double and the source of my only negative. The mattress was appallingly uncomfortable like sleeping on a rock and the reason I would seek alternatives rather than return willingly. Sorry, Hilton but seriously you could do better as your principal function is for your customers to be able to rest comfortably. Had I wanted to wake up with numb limbs and a back that took an hour to straighten I would have slept on the pavement. And what is the mattress made of? It sounded, as I constantly turned to find some crumb of comfort, as if the bulk of it was a bag of tin cans lashed together with a bit of foam rubber. A real shame as the people running the place were extremely friendly and able.

Overnight stay at Doubletree Hotel
We arrived at hotel and didn’t have to wait to long to get booked in , we were lucky enough to be up graded , We took our dog to stay with us also , we had a super king bed that was very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and had a lovely meal, we swam in the pool and experience the sauna and jacuzzi , the room was lovely and clean with all that we needed. Really lovely stay .

Weekend away Christmas market
Has a great weekend stay was perfect , bed comfy room clean , swimming pool was clean dinner was nice , when we booked in the lady on the desk was lovely she joined us on the honors and gave a cookie which was really nice, no hassle checking out just dropped key off in drop off box in the morning. Differently would recommend staying at a Hilton again , I will make sure I use again . And the fact that I could use my Tesco points me and hubby will be having more weekends away .

Reception staff friendly on arrival. The welcome cookie was a nice touch. Sofa bed not so comfy for my 11 year old. Breakfast nice..hot drinks machine not working properly. Pastries could be improved. Selection otherwise very good. Bottom of bath peeling..needs a little tlc..room a little old fashioned but good size and quiet. Ev chargers available. Parking is at extra charge. Pool area was clean and usable but a little dated.

Good but could be better
It’s a nice hotel with friendly staff and good breakfast but a few small drawbacks. The hotel is quite dated and rooms are basic. The food is expensive for the quality and portion size. The paid parking is a bit of piss take, you pay £100+ for a room and breakfast and then £6 per night for parking !

Lovely nights sleep! Vey quiet at night. The room was not very warm and took a long while to get to a comfortable temperature. The pillows were nice. But there was no shower gel or tiny tube of toothpaste... i was lucky i had brought some! There was a Dirty chair and so much dust under the desk! Clean bed sheets, lovely pillows. Basic room -i would give 2.5 star. There was no pen in the room, so I had to use my make up pencil to fill out the breakfast card, we hanged the breakfast card outside the door

Unable to turn off shower. Phone was unplugged from connection in wall so had to move desk unit to reconnect and call reception to report. Unable to use bath in case water stuck on again

Room was lovely although a little dated, the most annoying thing about the place is the stupid car park charges.. i was told they have sold the carpark to parking eye!! Another con and they clearly don't do many repairs to the condition of the carpark, why are all the hotel's falling in to this parking eye trap 😤😤

Perfect family hotel for Bristol centre.
We booked this hotel just for a night to explore Bristol as a family of four, x 2 adults and children aged 7 and 4. We parked at the hotel, £6 and lots of spaces. Staff were v friendly and helpful. Lovely pool, perfect for a family swim. Breakfast was good, fresh and lots of options. Short drive to Bristol centre. Would come again.

We did not get to stay in the hotel. We showed up only to find out that the hotel had been overbooked by about 5 rooms, and there were others waiting at reception for a solution. The night manager told us that he tried calling all the hotels in Bristol and nobody picked up their phone. I said if I get a different hotel sorted, will you pay for it? He said of course, you'd be doing me a favour. Literally the first hotel I called was happy to accommodate us, but the manager said he didn't have the authority to pay for the other hotel directly, and to email for a refund the next day. More than 2 weeks later I am still waiting for a response to my email, and my 2 phone calls didn't help either. The Doubletree didn't really have a solution on the night, didn't offer us a drink, didn't even seem very apologetic. The other hotel we ended up staying at was way more empathetic and gave us 4 free cocktails, even though our problem had nothing to do with them.
