Very simple hotel, but friendly checkin, an iron and tea/coffee in the room. TV works and the shower was simple.

There was no central heating. I stayed there for one hour and then ended up going back home as it was freezing.

The Lift was broke and so we had to climb SIX flights of stairs to our room. There were only 12 cars in the Carpark so im sure the hotel wasnt full and another room could have been arranged!...nothing was mentioned prior to arrival and what was meant to be a relaxing stay turned into a horrible experience....not happy

Unfortunately our room had a window which didnt shut, so we had a lot of outside noise disturbing all night long. We informed the staff but they didnt offer any solution. Probably wouldnt stay here again although the location is ideal. The staff were friendly just rushed off their feet!

Ok for a Business Hotel
Reception staff member Grace was very nice. Room (303) had water running noise throughout the night and TV did not work. I did not call reception as just went to sleep.

Good for a short stay
everything is clean & in good condition despite dated renovation. Rooms are fairly big & quiet. however, drainage at shower has big room for improvement. It does drain but slowly.

Outdated hotel. Not worth £200 per night. The carpet in our room was dirty. The reception doesn’t answer the phone. The reception staff are dismissive.

Ideal City Hotel
Convenient location opposite Temple Meads railway station. Comfy room with smart TV really comfy bed and gorgeous pillows. Piping hot water and very clean and tidy. Great choice of food for breakfast. Would def stay again..

The hotel was very convenient being opposite Temple Meads station and near to the airport shuttle bus pick-up point. Although breakfast was more than adequate the range of restaurant food for other meals was very limited and overpriced.

Breakfast buffet was very good. Amenities were way too basic. Not much room for clothing. Open walled shower. Although rare, the elevator was out for a full day and our room was on the 6th floor. It is, however, RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from the train station if you need that convenience.

Holiday Inn has no conscience!!!
My kids were stranded at Bristol airport after Easyjet cancelled the last flight home. I booked the hotel for them, but because of corporate policy, Holiday Inn would not let them stay as they are under 18yo., but also wouldn’t let me cancel and get a refund!!!! My 16yo girl and her 14yo brother had to sleep on the footpath outside the airport until 3am when security would reopen. I spoke to the hotel and of course they said they would speak to a manage (that’s corporate speak for “I’m not going to speak with anyone and just lie to you”) and would call me back, which they didn’t. My kids have travelled to more countries than most of the the Holiday Inn’s staff and are know how to be more adult than a majority of the people who stay at Holiday Inn’s. When will compasión and understanding for kids come ahead of “corporate policy”. Clearly Corporate Policy of Holiday Inn was created by people who never had children. Or a conscience!!! Holiday Inn should be absolutely ashamed of themselves! They are as bad as Easyjet!!!

All good. Great location across from Temple Meads station. Breakfast was good, the service staff were hustling with fresh croissants and good eggs, bacon and sausages. Super coffee. Would stay here again.

Great location, Comfortable Stay
Hotel is in great location, just opposite Temple Meads Train Station. Beds are comfy and bathroom was clean. Unfortunately check in took much longer than expected due to one of the two receptionists having issues with their computer. It meant we missed a train we were due to catch. Reception team were friendly and let us have late check out as IHG members. Breakfast included for hotel price which adds great value. There could be a wider selection such as cold meats and cheese, pastries etc for a more luxurious breakfast but it did the job.
