Arrived and the greeting was very warm. Had our bags carried to our room which was nice as we had a few suitcases and 2 kids to contend with. Room was beautiful, very modern and had everything you needed. Went downstairs for food, which was beautiful and they even made us sandwiches as we were leaving early so missed breakfast. Only a 5 min drive to the airport then.

We used the Ship and Castle as a stop off on the way to Cornwall. It proved an excellent choice with really great helpful staff.

The breakfast was also a highlight. All in all the kids loved their "sleep over" will definatly be back next year

Fixtures and fittings could do with some attention. Shower l was literally hanging off when me and my friend were showering. Also, no actual kettle provided alongside complimentary coffee and tea bags, strangly :/

Hotel let down by uncomfortable bed and inability to provide any sort of early breakfast

I booked the ship and castle because of its closed proximity to Bristol airport, I had a very early flight the following morning. I was very impressed with the room, staff and the pub. I will be booking a room again next time I am back in Bristol at the Ship.

Pros: The breakfast was very good and made fresh to order, very nice. The room was spotless and nicely decorated. Overall a plesant stay and would recomme
Location: Only a short 20 minute drive from Bristol town centre.
Spent two nights at the ship and castle with my hubby and 10 year old daughter. Booked a family room with king size bed and a camp bed unfortunately on the first night my daughter sat on the camp bed and it folded up with her in it. The bed was broken and as there wasn't a spare she had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. The staff were very apologetic and replaced the bed the next day.
