I have already complained that when I booked I was not told that dogs were not allowed anywhere in the hotel other than the bedroom. That privilege cost £20 per dog per night plus an enforced room upgrade at £15 per night. At no time was I informed we couldn't eat or drink in the hotel. Not happy and would never return

Not dog friendly. Before I booked I asked if the hotel welcomed dogs as my sister in law had 2 small chuawawas. Yes no problem I was told but there was a cost of £20 per dog per night. As my brother was staying 2 nights £80 which I agreed. Then I was told I must upgrade to a larger room to accommodate the dogs. Another £15 per night. (I upgrade as well so we could have anointing rooms). Although it added extra cost to my original booking I agreed to pay. I also booked a third night for myself as I wanted to stay another night. All this was agreed with the hotel. I phoned them a week before our stay to confirm they were aware of my third night as I didn't want to change rooms. I was told it was all linked and no problem. When we arrived check on took around 15mins as they hadn't done what was promised. Annoying but I could live with that. My main issue with this hotel is although the claim to welcome dogs they most certainly don't. We were not allowed to eat in the restaurant with the dogs. We had to walk out and find a place that would accept dogs and on a Mothers day weekend that was very difficult as everywhere was busy. When we return later in the evening we went to the bar for a night cap. The lounge was quiet with only a handful of people but we were refuse entry as NO dogs allowed. This was extremely embarrassing. We where.then told they would serve us drinks in the reception foyer. We felt like second class citizens excluded from the hotels facilities.

We chose this Hotel because of its closeness to the Hippodrome Theatre for the Mike Oldfield concert Very friendly welcome, nice room with everything needed for a one off overnight stay.
