Not a good place if you have a car!!

Posted Sep 17, 2017
The hotel was clean and the reception staff were friendly and efficient. The only complaint was that we had to park our car 400 meters up the street as the hotel only has about 20 car parks for guest (the rest were for perm resisdents) first in best dressed policy. Won't stay there again due to not having a secure place for our car. However, if you don't have a car it is a good place to stay and very close to pacific fair and casino!!

Great Location

Posted Aug 31, 2017
Pros: Great location, clean place and staff were friendly.
Cons: These days free wi fi is common but the Savannah still wants to charge for it.
Location: Close to the beach, restaurants and Pacific Fair shopping centre.
The Savannah is located close to the beach and also the massive Pacific Fair shopping centre. There was a free breakfast included with our booking that was good. Only bummer was there was no free wi fi.

Worst hotel in this price range in my life

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Pros: Manager was polite and friendly, remainder of staff very rough in appearance and manner, did not feel like trained hotel staff.
Location: Central broadbeach location.
I have never written a negative review, but couldn't let this one go. Definite misleading advertising. Based on the website and price, I was expecting the studio apartment to be a bit dated, but clean with modern soft-furnishings. Unfortunately arrived after a 12 hour conference day to find: - Chunks of paint peeling from all of the walls - Badly rusted bathroom fittings - Mould throughout the bathroom (not willing to use the jet spa bath) - Very badly damaged kitchen surfaces - The air con / heater did not turn on (in winter) - Only a sheet on the bed (in winter), no quilt, with two light cotton blankets in a cupboard which did not smell clean - Looked directly out on to major construction, concrete drilling started at 6am - 'Free parking', but insufficient parks available so lost my park when I went out for dinner. Had to park in a limited zone and wake up at 6am to move car. - For breakfast, long-life milk and orange powder drink instead of juice (!) - Phone in the room, with no contact details for reception. Used my iphone to call the website afterhours number when I realised the heating was broken. The after hours manager was polite, but offered the 'last room available' for a reduced price. ie. asked me to pay for a new room, despite not being cheap in the first instance. Eventually moved me to a better room at no cost when the heating could not be fixed. Terrible night's sleep.
