Perfect location

Posted Aug 22, 2017
The hotel is right next door to the Ed Sullivan Theatre, current home of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Just a block from the Broadway Theatre, currently home to Miss Saigon (& the reason for our recent trip), plus several other theatres. Easy access to the subway, parking garage on opposite corner. Tons of great restaurants within a couple blocks either direction. Very pleasant staff, accommodations were small but reasonably clean and comfortable. Would stay there again if alone or with one companion. Room would be too cramped with more than two people.

Ameritania

Walking distance for us to comfortably stroll down to see our Broadway show and very, very close to walk north to Central Park and just chill in the great weather we had. Staff was great, hotel room comfortable, roomy and clean.

Great Location & Service!

You get what you pay for at the Ameritania! What makes this hotel special are service of staff and location. Rooms are a bit small but the bathroom is just perfect equipped with modern amenities! I especially love how close it's located to Broadway and Times Square which makes this "the" hotel if you want to be right smack in the middle of all the action and great restaurants. I'd recommend you check it out as I would return in the future.

Dear Bayareatraveler, Thank you for sharing your comments with us. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and our staff was able to help you during your stay. Thank you for mentioning our excellent location. From your description, it sounds as though you had booked one of our Express Double rooms, which are a smaller, more economical option, featuring one Full/Double size bed. Most of our rooms are actually much larger than that type, and feature a King bed or two Double beds and more square footage. Thank you again for your feedback.

Close to everything!

Posted Aug 19, 2017
Cons: double beds are a little small for 2 persons
Nice hotel in the middle of everything - close to Central Park and Times Square - Parking litterally on the other side of the street (discounted for guests) - recommended!

Very pretty boutique hotel, just blocks from the center of Times Square. Friendly and helpful staff. Very chic decor in lobby. Modern decor in rooms. Rooms felt caustrophic- very small, with only one small window on a side wall. Felt cramped. Pretty bathroom and cool shower heads but the bathroom floor got wet every time we showered because the shower had a half glass wall with no door. Nice hotel but the room felt very closed in.

Good location, but for $200/night, can do better

Posted Aug 17, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Hall carpets were not vacuumed all weekend; sloppy paint job in room; stains on bed sheets; tiny room; odd smell in hallway.
Location: Great location.
Good location, friendly staff, but can find better value for money. Go with a major chain for the same price.

Great location

Posted Aug 16, 2017 on Hotels
This hotel is conveniently located near Times Square and Central Park. The room was clean and comfortable for my family of 4. The age of the hotel shows a little, but it's not a big deal. There was almost no noise from other guests. The doorman was helpful in providing subway directions and hailing a cab. The purchased Wi-Fi was not great. We paid for it to be on 2 devices, but could only get it to work on 1. I realize that's not entirely the hotel's fault, but also the service provider.
