Great location but pack light.

Fantastic location, close to everything, parking right next door. We knew room wasn’t going to be spacious when it was reserved but when we arrived we found it to be even smaller than expected. No room to hang coats or even put extra shoes. Clean rooms and good service but the size of the room for the money that was spent would not be worth staying again.

Very good location hotel

The hotel was nice,pleasent stuff and clean rooms. It was noisy at night from the street, try to ask for insideroom

Ideal location

The location near Times Square was excellent for us to explore Manhattan as I'd not been before. Room was clean and staff friendly - ideal for a short break

Great location. Rooms are small, some almost claustrophobic. Resort fees of $30.00/night - huge rip off

proximity to Times Square

Pros: The cleaning staff and proximity to Times Square is all they had to offer.
Cons: Offer some services, update the building, or maybe the owners should look at a real hotel to get some ideas. OMG
Location: In the heart of the theater district. walking distance to Bryant park, Rockafeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, etc.
Being close to Time Square is all that Hotel Mela had to offer. There was practically No lobby, no food, no exercise equipment, wifi was sketchy, very small room, no dresser, tiny elevators, up charge by hotel above Expedia costs. The front desk staff wouldn't even call or hail a cab. When asked they said to just go up to Times Square. One good point was the cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful when my keys wouldn't work and they did a great job cleaning my room. I will never recommend this hotel.

Pros: Quickly found a room for me as I was not feeling well after traveling that morning.
Cons: Speed of the elevators.
Location: Great restaurants, bars, shopping, and shows.
Appreciated them letting me check in 2 hours early.

A very tiny Superior Room

Too small , doesn't like 18 sq meter . Open the door and the bed is all you see . The web picture show 2 side tables but in fact only 1 . The toilet is one step next to the bed . Almost not enough space for you to open & lay flat 2 suit cases together . With the amount of money paid , we can have many better choices . The staff are nice though .

Disastrous

our superior room turned out to be horrible extremely hot with air--conditioning blowing hard cold air every 20 minute with a very loud noise, the room was dirty, the telephone covered with dust it has not been cleaned in months,extremely small room you have to walk sideway to get to bed the bath top blocked. the evening supervisor was more professional than the day supervisor who was araguent, rude and unprofessional we could not sleep all night we walk up more tired in the morning instead of resting, the morning manager lied to us he was just horrible. and blamed us for not calling the service desk to send someone to fix the problems, I told him we spend last night with your staff to fix one problem we did not want to spend the morning waiting on your staff to fix the other problem . he yelled at us and he said it was our responsibilities to call and ask for maintenance. we went the second day to a restaurant attached to the hotel there was a lady on a business trip from California she was complaining a bout the same problem with the hotel. Just a horrible experience waist of money, The supervisor was on a power trip unprofessional the worth representative of any business, I will not hire him for the lowest position and definitely will not make him supervisor he is definitely not a problem solver

Location: Times Square near Broadway.
Lovely boutique hotel which is conveniently located in Times Square area. Perfect if you are going to Broadway show. It is a modernized older building which was attractive and clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a deluxe King room - a little small, but adequate. Bathroom was a little "tight". But especially for the price it is a fabulous value.
