a good hotel to stay for Times square

I chose this Hotel for its proximity to Times Square. I used the TKTS booth to get a ticket for a show. Theatre was just a block away.

Pros: The location
Cons: the beds!!!
The location is perfect! you are justs steps away from all the action, but the rooms are really, really small and the bed is very uncortable not a great night of sleep, but then again you have a very nice location at a very reasonable price.

Pleasantly surprised by the Paramount Hotel

I was impressed with the Paramount hotel. The price was reasonable, the rooms were comfortable, the bar & Grill was good i also liked it was centrally located.

Cons: bathroom cleanliness
this was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed at and one of the most expensive. The bathroom walls were dirty and I just couldn't wait to leave.

I enjoyed my stay and in New York City. It’s my favorite city in the world. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating to my needs. I expected more from the rooms based on the pictures, but I also realize that the hotel is only to sleep in, as I enjoyed the city most of my waking hours. I would stay here again.

The room we had was very small for two people. Noticed room next door was exactly the same but with a single bed the room looked more comfortable in that way. The hotel is trying to take advantage of people when booking the smaller rooms.

Rooms too small

Tiny room and extra fee

Pros: Location only
I stayed here for three nights and the room was super tiny. The wifi was ridiculously slow and I had to pay extra $90 for so called convenience fee. To be honest, I didn't use the wifi because it was too slow that I have to use my own LTE network, and I had to pay extra $90 just for the wifi. Won't consider this hotel again.

Never again!

Was the worse room I’d ever stayed in while visiting NY. Small, dirty, very noisy, horrible bathroom, and outdated! Even the restaurant wasn’t good. Extremely disappointed in the Paramount Hotel! Thanks

Lots of 'buts'.

Good location, and nice downstairs facilities. Here are the 'buts'... BUT I was initially put in a small room with the front of the air-conditioning unite hanging off and stains all over the carpet. BUT they then changed me to another room, a/c unit fine this time EXCEPT that this room was even smaller (think a cupboard, without even room to have a chair underneath the half-size desk) and with a close-by wall as the view from the window. And every time the aggressive a/c kicked in it quickly froze the room. Deeply miserable. BUT the next day they changed me again, to what I would call a standard-size hotel room without a wall right outside the window, and that was much better. BUT be aware that they charge a mysterious daily $30 'facilities fee' (you get internet and 'free' phone calls) but you don't get a coffee-making unit or a kettle (unless you ask, after which I got a kettle). BUT when I was in a rush to checkout and get to a meeting on my last morning I had to spend 20 minutes (no kidding) waiting for an elevator that could fit me - never mind my 2 cases. Finally I had to leave the cases in the room, run down the stairs (6 flights) and ask the porters to collect them later for me. BUT one night there was drilling outside at 2.30am that woke me up (the noise came through the closed windows) and continued for an hour, and reception said nothing could be done about it. For all this I paid a high price per night. So while it ended up tolerable, you know, not great!
