Staying at the Peninsula is a serious splurge for us, but as infrequent visitors to New York, one that we happily indulge in.
Walking out the dor of the Peninsula, we feel totally part of the city. Everything thing is within few blocks, from shopping and restaurants to Central Park, and for the things that aren’t close, the subways are a block away for those of us not in the black car cohort.
For us, fine hotels are defined by their staff, and the Peninsula is an archetype great service. It’s not a small hotel, but the staff seems to always know who you are, and they irl to anticipate and fill your needs. They work hard to improve your experience.
