A business hotel without internet is a non-starter

Pros: location
Cons: internet and housekeeping.
Halfway through my 4 day stay, the internet in my suite went out. At first they told me that it was just a problem in my room so i had to pack up and move to a lesser room. After moving i found that the internet did not work in this room either. When i called to inform them about this they informed me that it was out in the entire hotel. (why did they bother to have me move rooms five minutes before?) The internet was out for the remainder of my stay and i was forced to go to a nearby starbucks to get any work done with internet. The maid service was shockingly bad with housekeeping not even bothering to replace the towels one day and leaving cleaning supplies in the room on another day. The hotel made not a single effort to try to compensate me for the lack of internet. In this day, the ability ro have internet in a hotel room is the bare minimum that one can expect!

Location is perfect but hotel was not good

Very friendly helpful staff Location couldn't be better Wasn't happy about finding a cockroach in the bathroom in the middle of the night!

Room ok, exelllent ubication, no nice Hotel

The rooon was OK, the hotel was no good and it was in restauración, but it is three blocks from Central Park....

Accommodating Staff

They initially put us in a room with a tiny tiny bathroom but was kind enough to move us to a larger room the next day. They were so nice to do this. And the staff from the receptionist, cloak room, and cleaning were all so great! It made my staff a fantastic one!!

Great location for my needs

Pros: Location and very quiet>
Cons: Lighting and Headboard.
Location: Shopping, eating and Theatre, All walking distance.
Room was quite small. Unless in bed lighting was poor. Headboard not conducive to reading. I like to sit up in bed and read but headboard had a cutout section where you could not do that.Bathroom was a good size for a New York Hotel. Room was very quiet.I would stay there again.

Central to all you want to get to in mid-Manhattan

So glad to have found the Shoreham among the many options in Manhattan! Friendly staff, within walking distance of so many things to see and do (including the subway), and between the Avenue of the Americas and 5th Ave. on a quieter side street. Room was clean, 2 elevators are teeny-expect a wait when housecleaning active since car only accommodates a person and their cart at a time. Looking forward to visiting again and staying here!

Great location but some minor issues.

The hotel was in a fantastic location but needed money spent on the room, mainly the a/c Unit. Bathroom was small but funcational with a great shower and this hotel is great for all the major sites ( a couple of blocks away from time square etc). Overall I would go back there again and well worth a visit. Just be ware of the $14.95 per day for three devices for WiFi. hotel staff are very helpful and polite as well.

Needs updating

Hotel is in convenient location. The whole place looks old, and needs updating. Bathroom was tiny, and there were no extras in the room: no coffee maker, no refrigerator or minibar. Only cheap plastic cups. TV remote barely worked, minimal art on walls. Room was dark and depressing.

Good enough

Hotel was fine for a place like NYC where you don’t spend much time in the room. It was small but roughly what you’d expect in NYC. Staff was friendly and everything was fairly clean. Our bathroom door wouldn’t shut and you can find other areas where it isn’t maintained the best, but it’s a reasonable trade off for the price and location.
