Our stay at the Warwick exceeded our expectations. Beautiful room overlooking 6th Avenue. Staff was excellent. Close to all our planned NYC activities.

Good location and great staff.

Only downside would be the lack of counter space in bathroom.

Pros: The ambiance
Cons: Room description was misleading. I booked a garden view. Well, there is no garden view, only brick walls. Very misleading.
Location: Great location. Close to everything i NYC
There is no garden view. When you are on the 24th floor, you are looking a brick walls, which are very close and make the room dark at all times.

Great history and location in the theater district

Posted Sep 1, 2017
Pros: I like the location a lot, and the front staff is great.
Cons: Check in.
Location: Within a few blocks--theaters, restaurants, Central Park, Rockefeller Center. Within two miles--a whole lot of what makes NY a really great city.
I love the location and the staff is very polite. I have stayed here several times--so I like the feel of the place. AC works well, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are old but adequate. But registration was a nightmare. And when I checked out--the bill had food and other charges on it that were not mine. I had to catch a plane so I did not have time to deal with this.

Well located but service needs serious improvement

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Warwick is a well located, old world charm hotel. Our room was decent sized and bright. These are the pluses. On the negative, the hotel charges $25 per room per night fee for booking via a third party website like Expedia - in effect, they are passing the buck. Would seem fairer if they just charged people whose use the facilities - like exercise room, etc. - instead of penalizing everybody. Except for the doormans, the service is disappointing. Firstly, on check-in, we were told that if we joined Warwick Journeys, the "resort fee" would be waived. At check-out, this was not honoured. Then, no matter how many times we let housekeeping know of the number of people in the room, we always ended up with one towel set short and not enough shampoo. No big deal but kinda irritating to have to call down are a long day in the city. A couple of days, our room wasn't cleaned when we returned - at 5pm. Housekeeping claimed that there was a "do not disturb sign" on the door all day - a patent lie. At least the cleaners owned up and told us that the hotel does not hire enough cleaners and sometimes they are stretched thin.

Daughter's 12th Birthday trip to New York

Posted Aug 28, 2017
Pros: The hotel was beautiful, clean, the staff were kind and knowledgable and it was close to the most important things to see/visit in New York.
Cons: none
Location: Radio City Music Hall, Trump Tower, Tonight Show, Time Square, Rockfeller Center
This was a surprise trip to New York for my daughter's 12th birthday. She was beyond excited and surprised! My 21 year old son was on the trip as well and we all enjoyed the trip, the hotel, the staff, our room. Just all of it was wonderful!! The staff at the Warwick were excellent and made my daughter feel very special during her stay there as well as the day of her birthday. Everyone was very helpful and kind. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to come back soon!! :)

Nice hotel in great location

Posted Aug 27, 2017
Cons: The air conditioner is very loud.
We celebrated my birthday in NY recently and were very happy with our stay at the Warwick. This hotel is well located in mid town, and we enjoyed walking to Central Park, Fifth Avenue, MOMA, and Times Square. Our first night we arrived in the evening and had cocktails and dinner at Randolph's in the hotel. The food was excellent, and the service friendly. The lobby is not grand but the staff is helpful and friendly. The restrooms on the second floor have a lot of celebrity photos, and I discovered that the hotel was built by William Randolph Hearst for Marion Davies. And Cary Grant was a resident here. So posh! The room was comfortable and quiet, a real respite from our long days out exploring the city. We did not have a view, which was the only reason I did not give 5 stars here.
