Nice hotel, bad locationPosted Sep 30, 2015
Hotel was very nice, but it was in a fairly rough neighborhood. It's a very long walk to the nearest subway, and to call it "near stadium" is quite a stretch. It's a pretty long walk to there also.

Not close as they sayPosted Sep 19, 2015
Pros: The quietness, cleanness
Cons: Better management and staff
Location: It's a 20min walk on hills to get to the 4&D train station. there are lots of police officers around but this hotel is on a dangerous area.
This hotel is 20mins away (walking) from the 4 train station. I booked a non smoking room and they bumped me to a smoking room. I was upset and told the young lady at the front desk it's not what I requested. She apologized but couldn't do anything more for me. This was my first and last time I will stay in this hotel. Plus the continental breakfast area was not a range correctly and there was no staff to help.

Hotel was clean and attractive. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Location was easy to access by car with ample free parking available and a convenient 10 minute walk to Yankee Stadium.

Absolutely satisfactoryPosted Aug 26, 2015
They allowed me to check in a couple hours early and were very kind about it. Gave me good directions to local places I was looking for. The cleaning staff was very nice and helpful. I felt safe in the area. We were walking the streets at around midnight. Some reviewers have complained about the rundown business across the street. There's nothing wrong with it. We're so accustomed to corporate clean global franchised businesses that we forget what reality is. Things decay and fall apart and not everything has to be squeaky clean with artificial facades. Wood rots. Fences rust. It's okay. It's beautiful.

Just okPosted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Short distance to the stadium
Cons: Breakfast selection
Stayed 1 night to attend a Yankee game. Definitely not a fancy hotel but just a place to rest for the night. Breakfast was bagels or cold cereal.

You get what you pay forPosted Aug 26, 2015
This experience was the worst hotel I have had. They gave me a room that smelled of smoke, even though it was non smoking, and worse the A.C. Was broken. They ended up giving us 4 different rooms because of employee incompetence. The only good thing was that as advertised was very close to Yankee stadium
