Location is the best feature

Posted Jul 18, 2017
Pros: Room and breakfast
Cons: Nicer, happier staff that greet you with a smile
Location: Restaurants, shopping and easy to drive in and out of town
The location of the hotel is great: near a large shopping center, restaurants and access to the freeways that take you away from or to downtown Milwaukee. Very nice breakfast room and wonderful, delicious breakfast...the best I've had in a chain hotel. The staff are just okay; but it might have been because I was there during the U.S. Open golf tournament so they were really busy.

Not a great experience!

Posted Jul 16, 2017
Pros: Bright and open common areas, good buffet breakfast, friendly staff.
Cons: Housekeeping!
Location: Great location! Near a great choice of restaurants, shopping mall and freeway.
I would have given this hotel a higher over-all rating, if my room would have received housekeeping service during my stay. After settling into my room, I noticed a laminated sign advising guests that the sheets would be changed every 3 days unless requesting something different. It also stated that this would not affect the normal housekeeping services for the room. I think this is now pretty standard for hotels, and I have no problems with it. However, I stayed 3 days, and the only housekeeping service I received the entire 3 days was having my garbage cans emptied! That's right; they never made the beds, replaced plastic or coffee cups, tidied the bathroom, vacuumed, etc. They finally replaced the towels left on the floor on the 3rd day, without replacing washcloths. When I checked out, I asked the front desk person what their normal housekeeping service was. She was very apologetic when I told her I received none of those services. She kindly gave me a full refund for one night. While I was very pleased with her offer, I'm a bit reluctant to return. I was happy with the overall hotel. A great buffet breakfast, friendly staff, clean public areas, a great location.

A series of unfortunate events

Posted Jul 11, 2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything.
I would rate this hotel zero stars if I could. My family stayed there for two nights. The first night the fire alarm went off due to someone supposedly putting bread in their microwave for too long. It's ridiculous that that set off the entire building's fire alarm. My infant daughter had just gone to sleep and it was super disruptive. On top of that, the walls of the place are super thin. We heard so much stomping and bumps coming from each wall and ceiling around us. Not to mention the ceiling fan in the room below us was broken and the guests still were running it and it was the loudest noise ever. Don't count on getting a good night's sleep either because the pillows are awful. And so much for the "suite" idea. The door from the bedroom into the rest of the hotel room suite is glass so it completely defeated the purpose of having a separate room to put my daughter in to sleep as all the light leaked through. Oh and the air conditioning definitely didn't work. We turned the nob all the way to 40 degrees and it didn't do a thing to change the temperature. The tap water tastes like chemicals so don't drink that either. If all that doesn't seem like enough, to top it off, my entire family got sick from the continental breakfast. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and won't be staying here again.

Thank you for reviewing our hotel we appreciate your time to leave feedback Ms. Mae Cronin, Thank you for reviewing our hotel we appreciate your time to leave feedback. We did have a fire alarm go off around 930pm due to a guest placing bread in the microwave for an extended period of time it burning, and filling the room with smoke. We are happy to report that all of our systems worked as they should have, and there were no injuries to any guests. Some of our suites do have a door that separates the bedroom from the living area, and it is a glass panned door with a privacy shade. Please feel free to bring us any concerns you may be having during your stay so we can address them immediately. I wish you and your family safe travels. Regards, Dustin Woyak General Manager

Decent Hotel

Posted Jul 2, 2017
Pros: The convenience of where it was located, the indoor pool and whirlpool, breakfast in the morning. We were greeted by cookies too.
Cons: The cleanliness of the room, temperature of the hot tub. Filling breakfast in a timely manner.
Location: There is a Wal Mart , Starbucks and Panera very close and a grocery store. We went to a great family owned custard shop called Lees.
This is the first time we stayed here. It was ok. I think the room needs a bit updating. Wireless connection at times was very poor. We were greeted by two young ladies at the desk who were very nice and friendly. We were in a nice room, however the wireless connection was very slow. I like that there was a microwave and refrigerator in the room. I did notice on the handle of the sink in the bathroom that it was not very clean where the handle meets the bottom part, it made me think is the rest of this place clean. You do get breakfast here in the morning which is very nice. However, some of the items were not restocked in a timely manner. They kept running out of eggs and french toast. The waffles were great. They also have a coffee pot in the room. The staff was very friendly and nice to us. We could hear other people in their room next to us. The whirlpool was not very hot. My daughter liked the beds we thought they were too soft. Great location, it is attached to two restaurants, Champs and Outback Steak House. Wal Mart, Starbucks, Panera are all very close. Close to the highway as well.

Pros: It is friendly and the room is a good size and good value for money
Cons: The seating for breakfast at the weekend should be increased the rest of the week it is fine
Location: There is a local shopping mall and central Milwaukee is within 15 minutes car drive
The hotel is well situated for road transport we have been to Milwaukee twice a year for last 3 years and still find new things to do near to the hotel

Room

Feel like Expedia rooms are less than hotels standard rooms. The oldest less updated rooms. Would rather pay a little more and get a nicer room.

Nice room at the Country Inn in Milwaukee.

Posted May 31, 2017
We had a nice stay at the Country Inn in Milwaukee. It was nice to have home-made cookies when you checked in. The rooms a very large and comfortable. There was a free breakfast which consisted of Waffles, Eggs, sausage, potatoes, juices, cereals and oatmeal. Various breads and donuts too. Very good sports bar/restaurant attached called Champs. Large selection to choose from and there is also a Mall just down the street with other options. Very nice stay.
