Hotel in great area

Pros: The location
Cons: Information about the restaurant, the fitness center and other hotel amenities would be nice to have in the room.
My stay at the hotel,was okay except for a few things. Check in took me quite awhile because the person at the desk did not seem to have all of the details of my reservation. She seemed confused about that parking and breakfast were included in my reservation. After that was cleared up, I had to ask about directions to the parking garage. When I got to my room, it smelled somewhat musty. I was surprised that there was no literature in the room with a menu for The Bistro or a channel guide for the TV.

Nice hotel, convenient location.

Pros: We liked the convenience to shops, restaurants and the T-Station at Coolidge Corner.
Cons: Maybe just more information about area, especially during marathon weekend. We had to figure these things out on our own.
Location: Great location, very close to T-station. Quite a few restaurants & convenience stores.
We traveled from New Jersey for the Boston Marathon. We arrived at the hotel on about 6 pm on Friday evening. There was no line at check in and it was very quick. The front desk receptionist was friendly, however, gave us absolutely no information about the hotel or surrounding area. I had to inquire about parking and then she gave us a parking card. Another front desk receptionist was assisting other customers and I could hear her giving them information on the surrounding area. I picked up a map at the desk which showed area restaurants and shops but it was very, very difficult to read as it looked like it had been copied over and over. The lobby was clean and had nice seating areas. The water dispenser was a nice touch. On race day, there was a table for the runners with refreshments and another with poster paper and markers to make signs for the runners; another nice touch! Our room was nice and spacious enough for four. For the most part it was clean but you could see that it hadn't been dusted in a while. We had four people in our room and only three towels were in the bathroom. We really didn't spend too much time in the room as we were out visiting the sights. Overall, this is a nice hotel and we would certainly stay here again.

Nice hotel, centrally located, great staff

This hotel was located about half a block away from the Green line making it convenient to get around and see all the great things Boston has to offer. The hotel staff was very accommodating, friendly and made us feel welcome. I'll stay here again when visiting Boston.

Rigid staff and procedures

Could get nothing for breakfast after 10:30AM. Plane late arrived 4AM the night before following horrible flight schedule screw ups. Maid awoke us from sound sleep every 15 minutes starting at 8:30AM to clean the room despite our protestations. At 10:45 no breakfast. Not even toast or bagel or donought even though available in the back. Clearly needs and comfort of guests are secondary to hotel procedures and bureaucracy.

The staff at the front desk was super helpful, and very nice. They were the best part of the stay.
