Conveniently situated modern and clean hotel

Posted Oct 19, 2017
Pros: Everything we needed in a convenient location. Helpful staff, good breakfast, free wifi and a good comfy bed.
Cons: Taxi back to jfk airport was 0.5hr late. Looked like it hadn't been booked even though we had asked twice.
Location: Next to 25th street station in Brooklyn on R subway line providing easy access to Manhattan. Good supermarket next door and laundrette nearby.
Conveniently situated modern and clean hotel provides an excellent base for exploring Manhattan and Brooklyn. 25 min on the R line into Manhattan. Room was modern and clean with a comfortable bed, air conditioning, coffee/tea maker (not a kettle) and excellent free wifi. Good breakfast included included in the price of the room, including scrambled eggs, bacon, cereals, porridge, fruit juice, coffee, tea, waffle maker, bagels, muffins, white sliced bread, jam, butter, cream cheese and fresh apples and oranges. A small but equiped enough fitness room with dumbells, treadmill and rower was an option to use. Would stay there again.

Nice hotel near 25th st., train/subway in Brooklyn

Posted Oct 18, 2017
Pros: The rooms and the hotel staff. They were very helpful about how to get somewhere and they provided map and showed me with train/subway to take.
Cons: The could have closed captioning with their cable. Also more vending machines might be helpful for late night snacking due to location.
Location: Barclays Center. There is a mall across the street. The Brooklyn Museum, Park Slope Park and the Children's museum are not far away.
Nice rooms, big bathroom with shower/tub combo. Complimentary breakfast. Free wifi, nice TV and cable. The hotel staff was very helpful and nice. This is a nice 3 to 4 star hotel with great rates. I would stay here again if/when I go back to NYC.

Downtown Brooklyn hotel

Posted Oct 12, 2017
Pros: Hot breakfast was included
Cons: More appealing exterior signage
Exterior is not much to look at but the interior and our room was very nice. Queen room was a bit small for two people but nicely appointed.

Brooklyn Bay Hotel was centrally locates for our purposes this stay in New York. If you’re not into walking a lot, you can get almost anywhere in Brooklyn for a $10-$16 Uber ride. Uber was pretty accessible during most times of day. If, for some reason, we could get an Uber, the hotel staff was readily there to help. They would contact Uber or a cab for you. They were also very helpful in finding places to eat.

Nice hotel. Great complimentary breakfast

Posted Sep 21, 2017
Pros: Breakfast and comfortable rooms.
Location: This is the one downside. You are not in the city and the environment nearby is just a working class neighborhood. Good grocery store next door.
Hotel is located steps away from subway, a real plus. Trip into Manhatten about one half hour. Only complaint is the surrounding neighborhood. There are no close by restaurants or bars. This is not the happening part of Brooklyn. The price and comforts still make this a good value.

Close to nothing

Posted Sep 19, 2017
Pros: They did serve free breakfast.
Cons: . Free parking, more handicap accessible. There is no hope!
Location: The area is congested and not very clean. Nothing to do in the area.
rude staff, room not ready, no room service, charge for parking. reception desk downstairs ( don't carry your luggage in at check in) and elevators are very slow

Conveniently located ti R subway line and eateries

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: The TV only has one channel - but we did not really ahve time to watch so no big deal
Location: Great Turkish restaurant next door on one side and grocery/convenience store on the other side
Love the availability of self parking at $25.00 per day - fair price for NY and the hot breakfast and 24x7 coffee and Wall St Journal. While room is smallish - many nice touches that makes this BW a cut above.

Helpful staff, right me t to the subway

Posted Aug 29, 2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Not a lot nearby, plenty of eating places, but walkable to different districts of Brooklyn and next to the subway
The room was small by USA standards but nice. Staff very pleasant, breakfast plentiful and location ideal right next to the uptown and downtown subway, the R line. Overall a great stay

The staff members hospitality was extremely comforting. Environment was clean, food was plentiful, and this hotel is walking distance from subways! I had a really nice experience at this place and would definitely recommend a friend.

Great hotel, close to Barclays Center

Posted Aug 27, 2017
Pros: Fairly reasonable prices, location, staff is pleasant and low key
Cons: I wish there could be a fridge in every room. Option of adding on a micro wave would be nice.
Location: Dunkin Donuts, supermarket, subway
This is the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel. Three times for WWE and once to see the Islanders - it's a short four stop train ride to Barclays from there. Staff is nice and friendly, without coming off as fake. Room AC works great, this time we had an in-room fridge which was nice. Plenty of tv channels. Didn't take advantage of the free breakfast this trip, but have before and it was typical - the usual offered at hotels. Nice to have. Dunkin Donuts is across the street, and there is a small supermarket on the corner. Not too many restaurants close within walking distance, but overall this place is perfect and is our go-to place in Brooklyn.
