The hotel is right in the heart of the red light district, right above a sex shop.
If this doesn’t bother you, the hotel is ok. The rooms were small, the shower was tiny, and we only had one working outlet in our room. The fire alarm went off the first night we were there “on accident.” The wifi was hit or miss, more often miss. There was no staff member at the front desk until 20 minutes after we got there, and when we were checking out, the staff member ignored us standing there while he continued on a conversation with his coworker for 5 minutes. There was no parking, and we were told to park in a nearby mall’s underground parking lot, which cost us $22 a day.
All that said, you get what you pay for. The close proximity to downtown was great. There was minimal street noise, and the room, though small, was clean. There was a light continental breakfast (toast, bagels, yogurt, orange juice), which saved us a few dollars.
Overall - if the sex shop/district doesn’t bother you, and you’re on a strict budget, and you aren’t attached to wifi, this may be the place for you.
