Worst Marriott EverPosted Nov 2, 2015
Cons: Everything. They need to tear the place down to the skins and rebrand/rebuild it. If they leave it this way they should change the name to __Motel.
Location: This hotel is in a very dangerous area. Do not do anything nearby. Stay inside, lock your door and pray you do not get robbed in the parking lot.
This hotel should not be allowed to call itself a Marriott. It is in an awful area of town and is, well, old, worn down and more like the kind of place that you would rent by the hour than a Marriott. The Courtyard Marriott in Harlingen (where I thought I was going to stay---I booked this place in error)--is fabulous by comparison. It is like a resort hotel. I would not board my dog at this place.

Pros: Convienient to everything. Good location. Ample parking and access.
My first stay at a Courtyard. The room was fine however the common area amenities I found lacking somewhat. A buffet breakfast would have been nice. The "Bistro" seemed nothing more than a small, expensive snack Bar. Worst surprise were the public computers in the lobby. Only one worked at all and the other was very slow and had difficulty loading any website I needed to use.

Surprisingly Nice Hotel!Posted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: Nice, Friendly Staff; Easy to get to; Close to restaurants and stores
Location: It's across the street from a Movie Theatre. There is a mall on the other side of the freeway. Nearby restaurants and grocery store.
I was a little skeptical about staying at this hotel, as the price was fairly low and typically a hotel with a lower price isn't so nice. But I was only going to be in the hotel room for a minimal amount of time, and didn't want to spend a fortune just to sleep. The hotel was really nice and clean and felt very safe. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. I liked that they have a little "market" in the lobby so that you can grab a quick snack or bite to eat, and they have a little cafe type restaurant where you can grab a quick meal. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would stay again.

What seemed to be a start of a great weekend with a nice hotel with everything you would need in a stay turn to a nightmare after getting bit by bed bugs...

A welcome oasis in the Valley's oppressive heat.Posted Sep 11, 2015
Pros: Very Clean, Friendly Staff
Location: Harlingen, TX. We went to see a football game and just get away for Labor Day. Had some good food and visited family.
First of all, we were greeted by very friendly staff that got us set up and to our room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The A/C worked great!! Unfortunately, the mighty Cardinals fell that day, but after a night of cheering and screaming, the before bed shower was as refreshing as it was necessary. Worth every penny.

Good experience overallPosted Aug 17, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel was beautiful. It was the nicest we found in Harlingen. The only issue we had was the dining experience. Starbucks overcharged is on drinks. They didn't have certain cups sizes but still charges is for them. One more thing, the beds are really firm.
