Good but lofty price
We were staying in a room accessed directly from the main lobby on the first floor (room 41). The room itself was spacious and well furnished. However, noise well and truly travels. I have a hunch this is due to the fan systems, which allowed us to hear our neighbours TV into the early hours as well as some other less family friendly noise… Noise was also heard from the lobby rather easily. To be fair to the staff, when we highlighted our neighbours TV and music into the early hours the staff addressed this well. Otherwise, the rooms seem a little tired and could do with some rejuvenating. Notably the shower did not drain well, the toilet roll holders are wonky and other first class touches just were not there. All told, I would suggest the price point here is too high (we paid over £200 a night on average over a three night stay) given many things were far from perfect.

Short Trip To Bruges
A well located hotel next to its sister hotel, the Dukes Palace, where we had breakfast each day from a wide array of dishes and where we were able to use the bar and restaurant. Not cheap, but nothing is in Bruges and I think it represented value for money.

This is a beautiful older hotel split into 2 properties. We stayed in the residence section. The rooms were clean and inviting. The bath was large with a tub which was a treat after a long travel day. It's within walking distance to most eveything. Even the bus is close. The only inconvenience was, because we were in the annex building, we had to drag all our bags to the main building to check in. Then, back to the residence building. And, again the next day to store in the luggage room. The road and path are stone blocks making it difficult for wheeled suitcases.

Very much enjoyed the Residence King room at the Duke’s Palace Residence. The staff were all very professional, friendly and helpful. We found the wellness space to be disappointing in comparison to the rest of the property.

Perfect stay.
The hotel is in perfect location, old fashion charm and all the little necessities most hotels now do not supply. We only stayed 2 nights, did not use the dining room. No problem leaving luggage until we took train in the after noon. One thing I missed every where is there are no handles to hold on to in the shower. Easy to slip and fall. Should be standard.

The room was large by European standards and was updated. We particularly enjoyed the feeling of privacy offered by the relatively small number of rooms. The staff were super helpful and the hotel was well located and walkable to all major sites.

This hotel was lovely! Great location, quiet, close to the center of Bruges and all the things to do and see there, and very friendly staff. The one small issue was the A/C turning off automatically at some point in the night, which hindered sleep somewhat due to the warmer than usual weather here. Otherwise, no complaints!

Hotel was beautiful. Very clean. Nice bathroom. Great bed. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The only thing not mentiones is that it is a second floor room without an elevator and the stairs are really steep and narrow. Had to leave luggage in front desk because it was very difficult to carry

This is a solid 4 star accommodation. It is very clean and beautifully decorated. The staff very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. I would recommend updating the towels, sheets and hairdryer. It was nice to have a toilet room separate from the shower/bath. The amenities provided were nice and replaced daily.

First Brugge stay.
We stayed for 3 nights in the Duke's residence. The room was perfect. Good size, lots of storage for clothes etc, mini fridge, safe. The bathroom was spacious. Again lots of storage, separate toilet. Bed was so comfortable. Room serviced every day, which to us was unnecessary but thats 5*. Breakfast was excellent and well stocked. Staff very attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. All staff were excellent. Would definitely stay there again.

Extraordinary stay in charming Brugge
The Dukes Palace Hotel was absolutely spectacular in every aspect. The staff was stellar - very friendly, very professional & made us feel right at home. The hotel itself feels like a living museum & our room was extremely spacious, extremely comfortable, very quiet & very charming. And it is perfectly located - not on a main road so very serene, but within easy walking distance from all the charming cafés & shops. We cannot say enough good things about this spectacular hotel. We have already told our friends about it & hope to return one day! Thank you very, very much!
