Good location, not a business hotelPosted Aug 17, 2015
Billed as a business and conference hotel it lacked a business center. To print info at the hotel you had to email the information to hhe hotel and they wouldprint it and deliver it to your room. This was cumbersome when we tried to print train tickets. No bell service for luggage, so desk clerk had to leave the front desk to help with luggage. The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable. Location was excellent on the town square. Wonderful sitting rooms.

Luxurious, beautiful and home away from home.Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: Breakfast, music throughout corridors, Beautiful décor and fantastic level of comfort and elegance throughout.
Cons: Nothing, a truly wonderful place to stay.
Location: Wonderful location on street off of the Burg square, less than a one minute walk from the Markt and the Belfort, Exceptional.
Situated in a fantastic spot overlooking one of Bruges canals and placed just off of its oldest square, the Grand Hotel Casselbergh is the perfect place from which to explore. From the moment we entered the hotel exuded class and comfort. The communal areas are grand and beautifully appointed and the breakfast room was fantastically elegant with delicious food. Our room was incredibly comfortable while offering a real sense of luxury and modern design. We upgraded our room and enjoyed a wonderful view of the canal below as well as of the Church of Our Lady which was well worth the extra few pounds. Friendly staff and beautiful setting mean we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. If you are heading to Bruges this is the place to stay, we will return.

Excellent hotel in great locationPosted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: Great location with good quality facilities and very comfortable rooms.
Cons: Breakfast room was in the basement otherwise excellent accommodation.
Location: Excellent location close to the centre and the canal although quiet and within easy reach of all local attractions.
This is a good 4* hotel with comfortable rooms and imposing bar / reception. It was exceptionally clean and well fitted within easy reach of local amenities and provided an excellent base for sight seeing. Would recommend without hesitation.

Excellent hotel, great location.Posted Aug 15, 2015
Pros: Everything. Cleanliness, Staff, Location, bar prices in keeping with restaurant/bars and location.
Location: Ideally located for walking around the town. Do the free "Legendsofbruges" walking tour. Hire a bike and visit the village of Damme.
Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights as part of my wifes 50th Birthday celebrations. I had contacted the hotel to inform them of the reason for our visit and asked for wine and chocolates to be placed in our room, stating that I would settle up on my arrival. We arrived in Bruges by train and the hotel was a 20minute walk from the station through the lovely town centre. When we arrived at the hotel the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming and check-in was over and done with quickly and efficiently. Our room was in the new part of the hotel which looked over the canal, when we entered the wine and chocolates were there as well as a Happy Birthday card. The room was large, clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom was large with a seperate shower and bath. The breakfast catered for all, it was buffet style with either full English option to normal continental with extras of smoked salmon, large selection of cold meats and pate. The location of the hotel within Bruges is ideal, it is a 3minute walk from the main square, however situauted in a quiet street. Overall I cannot fault this hotel, staff were friendly, helpfull and knowledgable, the whole hotel was spotlessly clean and the location superb. I would say the only reason this is not rated as a 5* hotel is the fact it doesn't have its own restaurant for evening meals. The whole experience made my wifes birthday celebrations memorable and the hotel did not even charge for the wine and chocolates.
