Sand anyone?

The Motel pictures were deceiving at best. I arrived very late because of traffic. When I got to the night registration desk, I found that they had given my king room away, and only had 2 double rooms left - in spite of the fact that I reserved a king room through Hotels.com. They also processed my card at 7:30am - and declined - (I had not been to the bank yet, as the bank didn't open until 9am for me to make my deposit). that morning rather than waiting for me to arrive and check in, which was the logic presented to me as I was told my room had been given away. As we considered this a mini vacation getaway - we were shocked and disappointed to be awakened at 7:30 in the morning to screams, and shouts of two people having a very heated discussion out in the parking lot in front of our room. The hotel manager told me that they have staff at the desk 24-hours, yet no one from the front desk heard all that profanity, threats and arguing. There was sand in the sink, the tub, and it was generally "sandy". There are no irons or ironing board inside the room and I was told that I could have come to the front desk to ask for those items. But why make my stay inconvenient when most hotels have those items already inside the rooms. I don't recommend this hotel to any guests.

This hotel was awful. The shower could not be controlled. The knows didn't work. It burned me with sudden hot wate . They didn't clean the room no kleenex at all. Neighborhood bad. Behind a KFC

I apologize that your stay with our hotel did not meet your expectations. Our Maintenance Supervisor has corrected the shower issue. Please know that all rooms are cleaned and then inspected before we release them to be occupied. But we will be implementing a two level check system to ensure that all rooms meet our high hotel standards. We do not normally have kleenex in our room but will definitely consider that, in which to provide that accommodation for our guest.Please know that we have 16 security cameras on our property along with night security. We have had no problem with crime since opening in December. Our hotel has been around many years. We are under new ownership with a vision of bringing this hotel back to life. Please know that we once again apologize for your disappointing stay. My staff and I strive to provide a restful and enjoyable stay and work hard to meet guest approval. We hope you will try our hotel another time if in the area again. Thank you again for staying with us.

Good for a night's rest

Stopped at the exit this hotel was located at looking for a place to crash for the night while driving from Florida to North Carolina. This place was conveniently located right off I95. It wasn't the greatest hotel but for the price, it was decent. The room was clean. The bedding appeared to be fairly new. New flat panel TV mounted to wall with a mount that allowed the TV to be turned various angles (you could even watch TV while sitting on the toilet). Room had a small fridge and microwave. I'd probably look to stay here again next time I'm traveling the same route.

Clean, clean & clean

The management was very personable and always available. The room we stayed in had a thermostat problem with the air conditioner and when I went to the front desk to tell them about my concern I got immediate service from the owner himself. There isn't anything fancy about the place but I don't need fancy, I need to know and feel confidenf ride that the room is clean. The area has many eateries in very short walking distances and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. We will definitely be back. The big hotel chains cannot compete with the cleanliness and personal care of this establishment. You won't be dissapointed.

Just a cheap place to spend the night.there are plenty more places nearby that are the same price but much nicer.Off on side street which needs more lighting so as not to appear so scary

Decent hotel for a night's sleep

It was hard to find the hotel as the main sign apparently has a previous name of the hotel still on it. The room was very spacious, clean and the bed was nice, but the bathroom's sink was falling off of the wall. The area around the bathtub had recently been painted as their were paint chips all over the tub.
