Excellent stay at newly renovated property!

We had a great stay at this property during a trip back home. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and professional. We would definitely return again!

Only staying overnight on our way south. Hotel was undergoing updates in decor, but it did not inconvenience us at all. Evening front desk receptionist was very accommodating and friendly.

Review of LaQuinta Hotel Brunswick, GA

Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Cons: See above. I contacted La Quinta and they said they would take care of the room.
Location: The hotel is fairly close to St. Simon's and Jeykel Island.
When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. The hotel is undergoing renovations and unfortunately we wound up with a bad room. We found mold in the bathroom in the shower area. The grout was moldy and the area around the soap tray was moldy. The shower curtain was also very rusty. There was also an ugly stain in the carpet next to the bed along with some food particles in the carpet. We small refrigerator was not plugged in so it too a ling time for it to cool down (after I plugged it in). The breakfast area was clean and breakfast was typical La Quinta (juice, cereals, fruit, yogurt, etc.)

Close to Interstate 95

Pros: The hotel is close to Interstate 95 and the coffee & the breakfast were good. All the hotel staff we came in contact were friendly & helpful.
Cons: Bathrooms (at least the one we had) need to be cleaned spotless. There should be no mold anywhere; it's health threatening.
Location: Don't know as we were only stopping on a long trip south.
The staff was friendly & polite. The room itself was comfortable & clean. The bathroom, however, was a different story. The showerhead was covered in mold. All around the soap holder in the shower was mold, as was around the space where the safety bar was attached to the wall.

Pet Friendly

Good place for night stay with our dog. Just off 95 and next door to cracker barrel. Room was clean and bed was firm; we had a good night. Have stayed here twice and would stay again.

Lack of cleanliness

The staff was very courteous. The hotel was well equipped, but the place needed a good cleaning. Especially the bathroom. There was soap scum and visible dirt on the shower stall. We had to place a towel in the tub to take s shower. And the carpet was dingy. I have no problem with pet friendly hotels , but dogs were everywhere, barking. We can overlook a lot of things, but cleanliness is not one of them.

Just what I want from a hotel. Desk clerk was bubbly and efficient. Room was very decent. Bed was perfect. Shower even drained!!

Dated and the room smelled

Pros: It accepted dogs
Cons: The hotel needs to be re-modeled
Location: Nothing special, it was close to I95
The walls were dirty and needed a good coat of paint. The room smelled bad. In fairness it could have been the pulp mill near by. Will not stay at this hotel again.
