Nicely renovated

The hotel was undergoing major renovations due to damage from hurricane Irma. My room was spotlessly clean as was the lobby area. The people working behind the desk were very warm and welcoming. I would recommend LaQuinta in Brunswick, Georgia to anyone looking for a great hotel at a reasonable price.

Necessities, but not told at reservation that ...

Was under construction. Undisclosed at time of registration. Elevator not working. Put brand new tile and carpet in a suite with an old gross tub. Workers came early.

Staff friendly, close to Cracker Barrell, very convenient location. No complaints, just an average place to stay.

Great Stay!!

The only negative I would report is that the elevator was not working. Our room was on the 3rd floor with our pet. Slightly inconvenient but that was my only complaint! The staff - Brunswick were awesome...especially Chandra!!!!! She went above and beyond from accommodate us and other guests!!! We will definitely stay there again.

Room was Musty

Pros: Friendly staff. Clean common area.
Cons: Room cleanliness.
Location: Convenient location.
Hotel staff were friendly. Hotel common spaces were clean. Hotel room smelled musty - it hit you like a ton of bricks when you walked in. The bathroom ceiling had a large area of mold/mildew and the floor grout was black in the center of the floor. It looked like the new caulk in the tub/shower area was put over mold/mildew as you could see it bleeding through the caulk. The bed linens were clean. When we turned on the a/c the air coming from it was musty smelling. We stayed the one night because we were passing through,exhausted, and the bed was clean; otherwise, we would not have stayed.

Location: None
Elevator "OUT OF SERVICE". One elevator. No one offered to help us with our luggage and we were on 3rd floor. Same in morning. Free breakfast a joke. Manager offered 20% discout since elevator was out. Never received! Manager "PAUL" had the personality of a corpse. Nothing more to say on this stay!

Subpar rooms in regards to cleanliness-- bugs and stained sheets in our two rooms. Elevator was out of service during our entire weekend stay. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I requested a first floor because we're going to travel with our dogs and I have a painful knee that week. I got a call 20 mins before we get there that the elevator was out of order and our room is going to be the on the 3rd floor. They are aware that we would ha e pets with us but denied knowledge of the request for the first floor. The front desk personnel, recommended to call hotel. Com for a possible change in reservation, unfortunately none was available and it would cost me more to change hotel at that time We had no choice but to stay at Laquinta. We were issued keys, luckily one of the worked to open our room, had it not been for another guest going out the door to smoke we would have to find our way back to the front desk to get keys. I didn't wNt to walk 3 floor up and down again, but I had to get extra keys for my party. Other than that we stayed in our room got downstairs for waffle breakfast then checked out

Convenient to I95 - a very basic hotel

Pros: Room was comfortable, close to I95.
Cons: Upgrade all around - breakfast, towels and amenities in rooms, presentation of staff, coffee at breakfast was TERRIBLE - weak and not coffee-like.
Location: Nothing to do nearby - nice steak house for dinner one exit north.
Very basic hotel - rooms are comfortable - breakfast is VERY BASIC - not one outstanding feature to report about this hotel. If it was upgraded to any degree, it would be much more appealing. Staff, although helpful and friendly, look like they are on their way to the beach - not a professional presentation.
